I mean the original punk movement didn't die down, really, until what? 1985? That's 8 years after The Sex Pistols and Ramones hit, and kids were still clinging on to it.

i dunno man, depends on your perspective i guess and your definition of what punk is or rather, was.

i got into the p thing mid '78 and remember feeling within a few months that the whole thing had past by and all that was left were just punk rock copy bands or big media hyped new wave shit. my friends and i very quickly worked out that all the 'real punk' shit had happened by 1977

'79 it was definitely time to move on, there was no point looking backwards>>>but ever since punk has been a backwards looking genre. not saying there hasn't been and isn't good stuff done in its name. just that 'punk' is nostalgic by nature<<<

it took me three records that skipped before i figured out what i was doing wrong.  i think they're cutting them with a computer somehow.  it does not look like they are cut by a human, but they also don't look like lathe cuts.  maybe theyre 3D printing them, lol.  but i'm stumped
from kunaki discogs page:  Please note that Kunaki, LLC does not press CDs or vinyl, but only offer professional duplication/burnt CDr's service and lathe cuts. If Kunaki is credited in any way, please use CD-R or Lathe Cut in the format instead of CD or vinyl.

good story. well written. my anxiety for your welfare was rising.

reminded me of something that happened to me once, except mine was more of an outback wolf creek kind of deal.
might try to get it down one day.

well done son...now, if only someone could issue vertical slit and beyond on vinyl.

no opinion on the relative merits their hype/success. but, their professional aussie ‘we’re just a little battler sharpie/punk band from struggle street’ charade is laughable and embarrassing beyond belief.

amyl and the sniffers is an anagram of "ayn rand fist me flesh"
and ‘anal riffs need myths’

Pharoah Sanders' Izipho Zam--For my money, this is Sanders' best session as a leader.  The title track is incredible, and Sonny Sharrock's guitar on it is some of his best I've heard.
agree, great record. saw him give one of the best performances i've ever witnessed in auckland (no, i'm not a fucking kiwi) 2004 and one of the least inspiring just a few years later in melbourne. i appreciate that level of inconsistency in a performer.

Are records next?
yes sell now! before you're lumbered with a bunch of worthless outlawed petroleum by-product that costs a fortune to have legally + responsibly disposed of.
