The U-Men were great...not the easiest band to find stuff by though.
John Bigley is a club mogul in Seattle. He was in the Crows on Am/Rep. Tom Price did time in Gas Huffer/Kings of Rock/Monkeywrench...etc. Charlie Ryan was in Right On, Cat Butt, Crows and Bottle Of Smoke. All stand up gents.
Hoped fer a re-union at the Scratch Acid show.
Back in the early days of Bumbershoot Fest (Seattle), The U-men thought it was a good idea to set the water surrounding an outdor stage aflame, using gasoline or kerosine, but didn't realize the water flowed under the set! The pond has been dry for shows since 86. Ha.
This is back in the days of Lubricated Goat starting a show setting fire to their hair while on acid. Ahhhh....Seattle.
Little run down of stuff out there-or at least I have/had.
"Solid Action" CD comp.: Has most of the stuff they did.
Not all though. 7"es are accounted for and those are golden.
Self Titled 7"/12"EP: Not my fave. Feels like Boys Next Door to the Birthday Party, if ya catch my drift. But hey, It might grow on you.
"Stop Spinning" LP -Great. Most of these songs are on the Solid Action CD as well. Green Trumpet. Yesss. Tuff to find.
"Step On a Bug:Red Toad..." LP-CD-Cassette.
Released on Black Label. Pretty sweet stuff. Birthday Party influence...very much so. Jazzier than just pummel-pummel. Last year I talked to Tim Hayes (Fallout Records) about them and he still had a box of this release on cassette in his basement. !!! - Hit him up and see whats left. Plus the Fallout page/shrine is pretty sweet.

Off to work.
