Night Birds are new band from New Jersey with ex members of the ergs / hunchback / splitting headahce / etc. We just released a 7" with Grave Mistake / Dirtnap Records. Each label has a few first pressing copies left, which the band is totally sold out of. you can hear "prognosis: negative" @ www.myspace.com/nghtbrds

I'm bad with descriptions but this review is hilarious...

"think of all the things you like about early CA Punk/HC (I.E. Not So Quiet on the Western Front COMP 2xLP) and everything you like about early NJHC (CHRONIC SICK, AOD, TMA) and make those things fuck and have an abortion and this would be that lifeless corpse baby."

here's the labels write up. thanks for checking it out...

The debut 7" EP from New Jersey's NIGHT BIRDS is now available. Five tracks of killer southern California influenced hardcore punk peppered nicely with some wicked surf guitar licks, and topped with just the right amount of melody ... so if bands like JFA, Agent Orange, and Adolescents are up your alley, you should check this out. This EP delivers up four catchy little rippers and closes with an awesome surf-punk-esque instrumental.

For the first press, which is now available in the Grave Mistake webstore, the band wanted to do something a little different and make their own sleeves ... so they went ahead and made the full layout into five individual rubber stamps, then proceeded to stamp all of the sleeves by hand. There are 500 of these ... so with 5 stamps, well you can do the math on that one. Needless to say each sleeve looks different and each one looks awesome in it's own way.
