Not necessarily.  I find responding to bands opens the lines of communication and therefore they keep trying to contact you, asking questions or looking for help.  Usually if I ignore they don't tend to write back.  I know it sounds rude but I probably average 10 or more unsolicated emails a day.  Sad to say, I generally don't even have time to listen to their songs on myspace.  Unless I've heard of them before or they mention that they are friends with someone I know, they generally go straight into the "NO" folder.  Sorry bands!

Ok so fill me in here - what the fuck is Ikea punk?

Ikea punk is more than just a genre, it's like a state of mind.  Its roots are in the Loft-Pop scene but it really came into it's own in the footnotes of the Silent Barn. It's extremely difficult to pin down a specific Ikea punk sound, simply because many of the musicians in the scene don't even play instruments.  It's more of a thing to talk about than actually hear, ya know?

Thanks Tina, yes we are touring for the last week of October. Columbus might be the first date and that should be a fucking blast. Philly area and Pittsburgh are in the works and we'll announce the other cities when we get them. If anyone wants to suggest cities and dates around that time we're open to them. We'd love to do Baltimore, DC, Cleveland, etc. We'll see what we can manage. Maybe Chicago. Also we're planning a mini-tour with Population 1280 in November. More about that soon...
