- The Momes "spiralling" LP - Really great album
Yes, there are lots of great Cold Storage-related records. The Officer! and Het records are big favourites here.

V true - I still need that recent Code Bmus reissue. Tim Hodgkinson worked at Cold Storage. Must've been a phenomenal place to have worked if you dug that wave of bands. What a crucible of ear-shard wealth. Or something.
Good call, I had forgotten about this. Spot on about Cold Storage, set very high standards.

I definetely don't want to hear anything influenced by The Cramps or The Ramones.

I watched the first episode of Black Mirror where the guy is debating whether he's going to fuck a pig and the whole thing is laughably and cringeworthy-level bad.  Does it get better after that?

Next episode is good.

Damn, season finale of Quarry was even better than when Magnum and the boys went back to the 'Nam.

Still trying to figure out how Quarry had a Big Star #1 in 1969...A good show though.

EDIT:My mistake, it's 1972.

My condolences.

There are no other series when Scream Queens is on, but Quarry definetely looks promising, Dewy Crowe and Melo is a winning combination.

Fire Of Love is on Miami and it's a cover.

Sad news. His music has meant a lot to me throughout the years.

Sir Richard Bishop, Salvador Kali 2xLP - reissue from Exiled, who put out that Lavender Flu record this year. Quality control is high there. I don't go for solo guitar records too often, but if I do, I want Rick at the helm. I'm glad they gave "Al-Darazi" its own side.

Great record, CD get tons of car-play. Will pick up the LP if it ever shows up locally.
Finally unsealed the second Jakob Olausson and it's great for late night play, probably some Six Organs Of Admittance next...

Listening to Firebyrd, wherein Gene makes "Mr. Tambourine Man" sound like something Mike Post wrote for the end credits of an L.A. Law where Arnie represents Bob Dylan on a paternity case.

Great description. Some great tracks in there, especialy Rodeo Rider and Rain Song if I remember correctly.

Paganicons. Sounds better every time.

If Arthurly had come up with more material instead of the horrendous b-side, Da Capo would be at the top of my list. It's a far superior album to Forever Changes except for that dismal dud. If Changes is the sound of Lee peaking on premium grass, Da Capo is the sound of the finest acid known to humanity kicking in. The lysergic tang is palpable in every damn track.

Was thinking the exact same thing. I see it as a Faith/Void-type split thing(though the Faith is much better than that horrible 'song').
