goat penis?> woooooaaah

great band name

black metal from greece? geez...im there

Black Metal is actually about our only respectable genre. You can't go wrong with early Rotting Christ/Varathron/Necromantia. Probably not as 'evil' as some of the bands mentioned here but they deliver the goods.
hey black priest, are you writing from greece now? woaaahh.. if so most awesome ist.. rad

Well, no I have to cross the border to another country as we don't have internet connections here(I mean there). I was lucky to learn a few words of english from those missionaries.

Alien Lanes is my favourite too. I kind of dislike Under The Bushes... as it sounds a bit
too REM-jangly. The EP with Melted Pat is also great. Second In The World Home Series off
Vampire On Titus is my favourite track off theirs, if it was on a DIY tape  recorded in 1979
there would be books written about its perfection.

Posies - Frosting On The Biter. Bought it because it seemed like a good bargain but I'll probably keep. Unexpectedly good power pop.
Cheap Trick - s/t. Expectedly good power pop.
Agnostic Front - Cause For Alarm. Quality.
Bee Gees - Trafalgar. Probably my favourite of theirs.

I have been clearing up the collection and listening to the odd stuff I haven't listened to for days

Cinecyde - I Left My Heart In Detroit City. Great stuff
ELvis Costello - This Year's Model. Perfect power pop. I must have forgotten this record for 15 years and
I really shouldn't have.
Imperial Bedroom next.

That record's a big "ehh" to me. Thought it was gonna be a lot cooler than it was.

I agree. I bought the original a few years back and I found it unfocused and unremarkable.
637
Bill Orcutt - A New Way To Pay Old Debts. My favourite non-John Fahey guitar record.

Good day at Amoeba in Berkeley today:

Squirrel Bait - Skag Heaven LP on Homestead for $3

Top record and I've never seen it cheap, unlike the first one.

"... and then my mind split open..." from I Heard Her Call My Name by the Velvet Underground. Precedes one of the top 3 sickest noise guitar solos ever!

I thought the thread would be about this to be honest.

Alex Chilton - Live In London
Soft Boys backing him up, amazing guitar tone, even better set list. Amongst my favorite Live albums ever, maybe amongst my favorites ever. period. Kanga Roo and Hey! Little Child are the rippers.

One of the first records I bought and one of my favourites. I always like the version of The Letter in this.

Had the misfortune of having a meeting dowtown->losts of records.

euro bin:
Cheap Trick - s/t and In Black And White. I guess I am covered with those, also have Heaven Tonight which is so-and-so.
Bob Seger - Night Moves. The earliest record of his in the bins, quite good on first listen.
Orient Express - s/t, Neon-The Circle. Some ultra-cheap psych reissues for when I get in this mood.
George Moustaki-Le Meteque. I had heard about the sitar epic 'Voyage' but this thing rules throughout. At points sounds like the first Leonard Cohen LP which is good of course.

Residents - God In Three Persons(2LP). Was after this for a while, came quite cheap.
Steeye Span - Please To See The King. The guitar playing in 'Lonely In The Water' is priceless.
Mike Nesmith - Infinite Rider Of The Big Dogma. This guy never dissappoints for quility cosmic country.

and the mailman also brought:
Saints - This Perfect Day 12''. Incredibly enough my first Saints record. Obviously great.
Elastica - s/t. Impulse buy after reading a discussion here. I remember it being horrible but it came with the book and flexi so the mistake can be easily fixed.
Poison Girls/Crass spit 7''. Very slowly collecting all the Crass Records 7''. Typically good.

consensus history was always that Bailey was the prick in the Bailey/Parker feud, but WTF - Parker reissued this attributing neither Bailey nor Bennik??
[/quote]

The one time I've seen him play he threatened to leave when somebody coughed so he doesn't seem like an easy-going guy but crediting this thing to himself is ludicrous.

Had the misfortune of visiting various clients downtown with 2 hour-gaps inbetween so picked up a lot of records mostly for cheap except for the Fall.

Brinchley Schwarz - Silver Pistol. 70s favourite for cheap
Bee Gees - Trafalgar. One can never have enough Bee Gees records especially with a 2 euro pricetag. Great songs and ridiculous inner sleeve photo .
The Fall - Your Future Our Clatter. Its becoming increasingly difficult to get new releases here so it was good to pick up a copy while its still in print. Imperial Wax Solvent sold for 90 euro the other day
Death Of Samantha - Laughing In The Face Of  A Dead Man. Great record. Homestead could do no wrong in the mid-80s.
Saccharine Trust - Paganicons. Surprised to find this for cheap, probably a karmic reward for spending good money on Worldbroken which I hate. Anybody know how I can determine if its the OG?
Greg Ginn - Getting Even. Haven't listened to it yet. I needed to have one of his solo records around.
