Penetration - Moving Targets. Perfect waking-up music and the wife likes it too
The Mob - Let The Tribe And The Singles Increase. Punk perfection, still undecided
whether I prefer the LP to the singles.
Reatards - Bedroom Disasters. I love it.

Priest of course.

^^^Nice sett, dogg.
CCR, Willie and the Poor Buoys
This isn't even their best record.  Deep, damp, nocturnal vibes all over.  Their albums were so solid.

It's all about Effigy and that low note.

no love for Church of Anthrax?
not as good as fear, vintage violence or paris but still sweet.

Personally it never did it for me except for 'The Soul Of Robert Lee'.

I would say the following are essential(bit of a Cale fan)

Fear
Paris 1919
Helen Of Troy
Slow Dazzle('Heartbreak Hotel' and 'I'm Not The Loving Kind' are among his best)
Honi Soit(ridiculously cheap and some great songs especially 'Fighter Pilot', 'Streets Of Laredo' and the one that starts with 'She was so afraid of eveything she said...'
Artificial Intelligence(his 'minimal synth' record, some good songs and good 80s production)
Music For A New Society(ridiculously depressive, not a bad song and can be found for nothing, 'Chinese Envoy' kills)
Sabotage/Live('Captain Hook' is amazing and its probably his noisiest LP)
Dream Interpretation(his noisiest CD. The track with Tony Conrad is like airplanes in your head and 'Hot Scoria' is unbeliable)

The Damned - Phantasmagoria. I am afraid this will never leave the turntable.

Bought records after about a month.
England's Glory. Love the Only Ones so I had to pick this up.
Brian Eno - Shutov Assembly. Should be good for sleeping

Randomly pulled out Alice Cooper's Lace and Whiskey LP this morning.  As per my personal random-record rule I hafta listen to at least one side of it.

Meh.

You are not alone with this rule. Allow me to say that it sucks.

I have a copy I don't mind parting with for something decent.

I like DM Bob & The Deficits.

Ever heard Panama Ltd's "Indian Summer" LP from '70? That's some more Beefheart done right. I'd never heard it 'til this past Saturday. Free d/l pretty easy to find. Vinyl re-issue exists as well. I heard it on the OG.

That sounds great, although it's a drag to find on Discogs, it seems everybody had a release called Indian Summer. Downloading right now. Is the OG really hard to find?

Listening to Montezuma Baby Duck by Sam Esh and Hard Black Thing. Primal.

That's a good one, isn't it?I was expecting the worse but it's actually a great listen throughout. Beefheart done right.

Gaunt - Jim Motherfucker. Beautiful. Always snubbed them because I don't like the name. What else is worthwhile?
John Cale - Captain Hook. Epic. I would pay good money to watch him perform this with an eye patch and a wooden leg.
Residents - Diskomo. Quite Good, especially Goosebump on the b-side.
Jim Shepard-Amsterdam tape(digital form). Really like this, especially the Cohen covers. I plan to listen 2 LPs that arrived recently tonight.

Puffy Areolas In The Army 1981 LP - oh hell yes.  Dunno if this is some midlife crisis where I'm trying to lamely relive my dorm-room AmRep fetishization or what, but I can't get enough of this kinda scunge these days & they have a lot of non-standard flourishes poking outta the mess.  At some point I got 5 songs from this group, including the charming "Drinking My Own Sperm" - anyone know where those originated?

Here I think. Great session.

This is a great record that could use a different cover, I can't stand to look at it.
