just finished Game of Thrones season 1. I want to watch something else LIKE THAT

also watching Battlestar Gallactica, which is a great cheesy space soap. I doubt the 1978 version/namesake will be as entertaining, but i'm gonna try

got ONE episode into (not sure if it's worth continuing):

-Sons of Anarchy (annoying, feels a little like watching Heartland)
-Boardwalk Empire (maybe the first Steve Buscemi role I didn't like)
-Shameless (americanvers, with William H macy - seems reetarded)

yes. i have noticed this. hate it.

people have these automatic responses to avoid thinking of anything new to say. if you actually listen to people talking, especially in an office type setting with a bunch of middle aged women, you'll hear the most pointless fucking conversations. and old women laughing like they're making jokes.

Phase IV, researchers investigate strange ant behavior. Ants are mutating, getting organized. synth droning, pacing and ant actors make this movie. best

Watched the David Fincher Girl With the Dragon Tattoo last night. Didn't read the books or see the 2009 version. This one sucked. Like watching a really long episode of Criminal Minds.

good movie night. Phase IV!

Another Earth is more drama than science fiction. but effective.

PJ Soles is the worst. once I typed into google "did the ramones actually like pj soles?"
And for some reason this website came up:
http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6spdi/id22.html

"They started making small talk with Karl and then me and Jenn ran up behind him and started to giggle like a**holes at every thing they said. They seemed surprised that out of all the possible RAMONES albums we could have we had ROCK & ROLL HIGH SCHOOL. One of them asked Karl if he liked P.J. Soles. I don't think Karl knew who P.J. Soles was (She was Riff in ROCK & ROLL HIGHSCHOOL as well as being in HALLOWEEN, CARRIE, STRIPES and other movies) so he kind of went "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh...." and I chimed in "He likes anything with tits!" I'm such a charmer! "

and I figured that they actually didn't

hey, there's a whole scene about this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0o3Tsh0qyI

but yeah, i guess this thread is more a question about specific girls at your high school then a discussion about women in music.

also, this is illogical:

The ones that love Britney Spears, but brag to their friends how they love this "one indie band". Y'know fuck that shit, just admit you like great music. You don't need to cover this shit up.

unless you are saying that britney is great music, to which you are entitled.

I'm kind of with you, but I think it's also a sort of cumulative effect too. Murdering Gale was the last straw.

yeah, he's reached his breaking point. all the stress, murders, dead girlfriend, new girlfriend's dead little brother. it's all too much, he doesn't give a shit about anything anymore. he has no one and he's tired. I actually find him believable, as much as the rest of the show.
maybe not believable, but exaggerated-for-effect kind of relatable.

the party scene is a ridiculous joke, but i don't think this show is ever really subtle about how graphic it wants to be

Skylar and Jesse's characters compliment each other in a weird way. he starts out depraved and she's righteous, I think by the end he'll have found god or social work or something and she'll be running the whole show

The show is so obviously gonna end with Walt taking Saul up on his "Relocation" offer.

agree.
Hank suspects Walt but won't let himself think about it, shakes it off. When he can't deny it any longer, Walt et al relocates and Hank lets them go.

Where's Mike taking Jesse? To kill him? Doubt it. Rehab maybe
