New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Re: another new PHEW

Slippin' assholes, humanity.  Phew rules.

Made my semi-annual attempt to slog through My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless".  Lasted nearly 7min this go-around before turning it off.  Boring as fuck.

Crass' The Feeding Of The 5000, which I hadn't played in 5000 years, sounds brill again/now.  "End Result" + "Securicor" remain my faves since age 15.

Portions of this new Dylan cocaine jesus Bootleg Series installment.  Holy horseshit, etc.

Razz 12", Dan's always on it.  Really great.  Can't wait to hear what's next [The Middle Ages].

Non-Music Shit / Re: Best Delivery Pizza

Out west, the "finest" big-chain options are Mountain Mike's and (distant 2nd place) Round Table.  I live in a decent pizza delivery dead zone, so I'm overly familiar with these corporate style offerings.

And yes, those frozen Home Run Inn discs are the best I've had, better than some of my local deliveries (dead zone, like I said).  They barely need any doctoring [pre-bake olive oil schmeering, additional cheese, etc].  Not cheap though...

Finally watched BONE TOMAHAWK. Pretty good.
I loved it.  Check out BRAWL IN CELL BLOCK 99 --- the new one by the same director.  Comparable pacing and severe brutality.  Comcast On-Demand has it up.

Patsy 12" is a thang o' beauty, a real knockout.  A+.

The World's "First World Record" LP does not disappoint in the slightest.  Great document of the band as they are live -- no bells, one whistle.    Euro folks should definitely check 'em out live if the opportunity presents itself (they're there now).  Fun + inspiring band!

Razz - Time Frames 12" (Emotional Response)
Best power-pop leaning record this year.

Worse than Pop Punk / Re: War is Peace

TB now partnered with The Needle Drop, so this was just a good faith / back-scratch gesture.

Blade Runner 2049 was only 17 hours long.  Hologram fuck subplot & 100% of Leto was just deal-breaker bullshit.  I'm getting angry just remembering that I sat through it.  Fuck all movies made this century that aren't "It's Complicated".

That goddamn Dave Nance 45 on Richie fuckin' RULES.
The Raven EP LP Vol.1.  Unfuckwithable collection of Aussie 60s punk.  Few things tickle tougher than an 80s 60s reish:  sound (LOUD!), look (slap-dash, heavy-handed, amateurish), spirit, etc.  Plus, fugg, THE MISSING LINKS!
The Nightcrawlers The Little Black Egg LP.  Dig the Eva (again --- 80s 60s!) hatchet job cover redesign with butcher George Harrison and Keith Moon face cut-outs.  Beyond the title tune, no more aces.
Nick Lowe's Jesus Of Cool, which I never had in it's UK format.  Obviously superior name, duh, but the sequencing is inferior to Pure Pop For Now People.  That said, finding this cheap-o got me playing it again and I'm reinvigorated by "36 Inches High", probably Lowe's stoniest arrangement and production job.

Why the fuck has no one reissued this stuff on vinyl?!
You mean this month?  Seems like there's bursts of new LRD vinyl a couple times a year.

Cindy Lee - Malenkost LP
Homemade late-nite shite from some Canadian fellow.  Songs alternate betwixt harsh and soft in equal measure, but things have a familiar enough basis (vu, lady soul, lo-cal no wave).  Not folk or even vague psych, just DIY buzz of medium-level severity.  I like it.  Fun to see the dudes @ Superior Viaduct release current stuff (W.25th is them).  You can sorta connect all the dots that led them to select this.

Pere Ubu - Dub Housing LP
Went far too long w/o giving this a spin (had been years), focused more the initial singles and "The Modern Dance".  Will probably send me down through "Song Of The Bailing Man".  Little else I want to here these days 'cept Ubz.

Lotsa Game Theory.  "Pointed Accounts..." + "Real Nighttime" is their sweet spot, at least by my estimation.  I don't hate any of it.
