Do you also prefer a roll of sandpaper up your ass to a cold beer?

I'm sure not a buttchugger, and if you're trying to lure me into your humiliation/S&M basement I ain't bitin.

I am a fan of blank labels, especially with hardcore. One of the next scavenger of death Lps is gonna have blank labels. If any of you codgers want that record but don't want a blank label, I will gladly write the information along with a custom message. Everyone wins.

Cannot wait to see em/Ishiya's moustache 3 times in May.

I wish I knew Japanese so I could read his blog ISHIYA TALKING FROM HANGOVER

Kitchen's Floor - Bitter Defeat b/w Down & everything on their band camp - I will say that I like it, and that I love when you can hear the snare rattle while a guitar or bass is playing by itself, especially throughout a song. It ends up sounding like a more musical radio static.

Skip Spence - OAR - Had never heard of this until hearing it about a week ago (he was never in Discharge or Cold Sweat). He is playing In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida at that one part, correct? Think I'll revisit this one often this month.

King Hannibal - Truth lp - The Truth Shall Make You Free kicks ass, so tough, as does Hymn No 5. Missed the shows he played with the Black Lips as his backing band.

Delia Gartrell - Fight Fire, With Fire / See What You Done Done - Hannibal's wife (at the time, not sure now) -  the b-side is a great slow number about her son coming home from Vietnam a junkie.

Klaus Schulze - Blackdance - Not as good as Timewind (where's the synthesized wind?!) but I'm at work so it's great music to which to sit behind a desk while your brain atrophies.

D-Clone 12" - Holy Shit. Hi-Fi Drum sound and total noise guitars. Listening to this makes me feel like I wasted my time listening to everything I listened to above haha.

All the new Sing Sing reissues are great.

I have been listening to the mixed tracks for the new Joint D≠ recordings and, while they need to finish vocals on a song or two, the project as a whole sounds great. A lot of those Charlotte and Raleigh bands excel at balancing a controlled, powerful sound with an off-the-rails unwieldiness.

deathcrush....the real question is will the world see a live performance by ryandinosaur this year?

They won't see it they will feel it. I plan on ruining your art show with some rainbow corpse paint and a gallon of urine.

I've got a Tascam us-1800 into my girlfriends macbook pro. I monitor with my Yamaha hs80ms. I've got a handful of mics: a couple of 57s, 58's, some mxl condensers, an e609 and a shitty CAD large diaphragm dynamic mic. I have a friend who records and we share stuff -mics, stands, DI boxes, etc. I just got a Universal Audio 710 preamp, which I am going to use for the first time tomorrow night recording some vocals for Predator. This setup, while still pretty much on the cheap end, is worlds better than what I had as of last year: Alesis Monitor One's, a low-end mackie 8 track mixer, a Portastudio 246, and an old pc running cool edit pro. All I really want now is a better vocal mic - maybe an AT 4050 - and a matched pair a small diaphragm condensers for drum overheads along with a good dual-channel preamp -- I'd like to try the FMR RNP. I don't have any money for any of that, though.

Put together a decent recording setup

That was my goal for 2012, and now that I have a workable setup, I really wish I had a permanent home for my stuff. One day maybe I'll own a home with a basement, but that's looking more like 2023 than 2013.

I want to do well on the GRE and get into grad school because I am tired of my girlfriend being the breadwinner. She has a gluten allergy anyway BOOM CHING.

I am excited to hear the Kremlin 12". Loved their tapes and 7", and got to see them rip it up under a bridge in Toronto.

The new Joint D≠ recordings are great, they've focused the vibe they had on their first lp into something even more powerful.

Scavenger of Death has a punk/hardcore comp coming out that is mostly hardcore (and some grindcore). Ralph, Manic, Bukkake Boys, Predator, & more. It is good.

Just came here to say what everyone else said. This is one of the best reissues I have seen in awhile. The gatefold jacket is super classy, and I'm not a big fan of gatefolds. Sounds great.
