We pressed some more of these for gonerfest. We pressed another 100, but only 45 of them made it to my house in time. Anyways, we'll have them at the fest. They've got different artwork (done by yours truly).

The proof of a hardcore band's greatness, in my opinion, lies in their live show as much as it does in their recorded material.

UPCOMING RELEASES:

SOD-10: ATLANTA PUNK/HC Compilation LP. 13 bands delivering some of their best tracks: GG King, Cops, Ralph, Manic, Bukkake Boys, Gentleman Jesse, Vincas, Wymyn's Prysyn, Acid Freaks, Predator, Shaved Christ, God's Balls & GHB (Get High Boys). Regional comps sometimes get a bad rap, so in an effort to make the best of ours we exerted all our influence on our friends and bandmates so that no one would give us any filler. Everyone obliged and the tracks are killer! Most of the tracks were recorded on the same day Process of Elimination style. This will (hopefully) come with a newsprint booklet in which each band has a page of their own. Should be out within the next couple months.

SOD-09: PREDATOR CASSETTE. It's been too long in the making, but we finally have the ball rolling on a Predator tape. The original 10 song session was recently lost, but the re-recordings sound superior. Will hopefully have tracks up soon.

On the square in Marietta, GA there is an antique shop that has a record store in the back. They have decent turnover in the used section, but the prices and pricing system is pretty hilarious. They present bootlegs and often reissues as originals. The other day I saw a boot of Kill From the Heart for $60. They had some teenager price the singles and they want $10-$20 for thrift store detritus. There was one sticker on a 7" that priced the record at $20 and read "Other records on this label go for $25-$30." The label was something like Reprise.

The amazing thing is that, because the square is a weekend destination for suburban families, people will go in and buy a beatles record for $40 and then post on facebook "Look at what I bought! I can't wait to get a record player so i can hear it." That also explains why every time I go in there the woman who owns it tries to explain to me that these are records and they sound so much better than cds.

Is that place called Sweet Melissa's?  If so, I'm glad I never made the trek out to Marietta to check it out.  There's another relatively new store in Roswell called Mojo Vinyl, but I think it's more of the same.

I believe it is Sweet Melissa's. I have a friend who knows the owner, and the owner knows everything is overpriced, but apparently he can move stuff at those prices so he does. I read a review of mojo vinyl and passed. I live in Atlanta but work in Marietta, so I occasionally take a long lunch break to hit a thrift store or something, and have not turned up anything promising outside the perimeter. Records Galore in marietta has a large selection, but its overpriced, only open on Saturdays, and the owner will tell you he knows about every band that ever was. What he means is he knows every band that sucks. Book Nook in Marietta has been picked through and the last couple times I have been they've had the exact same records. Great place for books, though.

This is awesome. According to Danny, the bassist, when they recorded for the Parental Suppression EP they recorded 20 songs, 10 of which made it onto the record. A cd with that stuff is collecting dust in the possession of the one or some of the members, which is sad because I would love to hear it.
