How did you run them through copiers? Did you just center them in the tray? Were there a lot of jams/messups? I have contemplated doing that exact thing before but have never tried.

The recent Negative Approach set in Atlanta was awesome, I've seen three Zero Boys sets and they were all pretty good. Urinals were pretty boring at the Messaround a couple years ago. It's hard to capture something that was recorded with one amp and a toy drum kit with a full band, but even the 100 flowers stuff they did wasn't great.

The Germs - Jesus. They played at this warehouse in Atlanta with the Krum Bums. They had that actor singing, he seemed super pumped and amazed that he wasn't playing an established club. Before their set he kept saying things like "It's a warehouse show" and "DIY punk" and various phrases. Everyone in their retinue kept telling us (my band opened) that we should be thankful because the Germs hadn't played a warehouse show in 30 years. One guy in particular was a gym-rat type wearing and Affliction shirt. The PA at the warehouse only had two working channels, and they were using both for vocals. Don wanted to use another mic on his kick drum, and when I tried to explain that the PA only had two channels, Mr. Affliction kept interrupting with "Yo It's Tha Germs Make It Happen. Make It Happen." He told me that if I do them a good turn now, they'll help my band out by letting us open for them or something, because "That's the biz." So i mic'd the kick, and even though the mic cable was plugged into nothing, Don hit the kick a couple times and gave me the thumbs up.

Meanwhile Pat Smear pulled up, took one look at the front of this shitty warehouse, and ;eft. So the guitarist for Krum Bums filled in. The sad thing is that he was the one holding it together.

Predator has a tape coming out in a couple months on Scavenger of Death. It's 9 or 10 tracks that they did right before their hiatus. Since Greg was the drummer at the time, they decided to do a few frantic songs that were never recorded. The tracks are awesome, so be on the lookout. WHEEL ... OF ... MISFORTUNE!

I know their (HW & THE HH's) show in Atlanta tomorrow night is still happening, and I am pretty sure the show at Siberia in New Orleans is happening as well.

Non-Music Shit / Re: Gluten Free douchebags
« on: April 12, 2012, 06:22:17 PM »
The gluten free fad diet annoys me because my girlfriend, while not celiac, has had a pretty intense allergic reaction to gluten for years, and now when she tells anyone they think she's just jumping on the bandwagon. Or people like the OP troll about it like she's some spoiled girl because she's not celiac. Bee-stings don't kill me but if I get stung in the throat my tongue will swell up, know what I'm saying? It's the same for her.

When you work in a restaurant, you can sometimes tell who eats gluten-free because they have to, and who does it because they want to. For instance, some people with celiac tell me they can't eat food from a bakery / pizza place, because the amount of flour in the air. Others can eat food prepared around flour, they just can't eat bread or they will start swelling, breaking into hives etc. My point is that people with real issues generally ask questions, tell you whats up, etc. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I have to say that after I quit my kitchen job a few months ago I am more glad to be away from aggro cooks than customers with annoying requests.

Upcoming Shows/Tours/Events / Re: feedtime US turr
« on: April 04, 2012, 09:57:18 AM »
Feedtime was great in Atlanta, they never lost steam and kept some sort of tension all the way through their set. Plus they are the friendlist, nicest, coolest people.

Like I said, a great record. Worth it without any sleeve. Just curious.
314
The reason I pointed out their gauged ears is that they had glow-sticks shoved in there.
315
Ordered this last year. When you said "mint/mint" I thought that meant that there was a sleeve with the record. Then I received it without a sleeve. Since then I have been curious about what else was mint. It's a great record, in fact I played it tonight when I played records at a restaurant. Some girls who had gauged ear piercings bopped around. But what does the "mint/mint" mean?
