NEW LIVE HUMAN SEXUAL RESPONSE AND XTC VIDEOS @ KINODV

This month KDV features Human Sexual Response with “Land of the Glass Pine Cones” from their live performance video recorded in 1982 at the Streets Club in Boston. “Land of the Glass Pine Cones” was one of several excellent songs from their 1981 In A Roman Mood album.

This might be the best song from the album that also included “Andy Fell”, “Pound”, and “Question of Temperature”

You can view “ Land of the Glass Pinecones” at the KINODV feature page:

Music Shit / New Videos Up @ KINODV: The Cure & Siouxsie

The Cure filmed live in Boston for this video “ Grinding Halt”. Recorded at the Underground Club in 1980 where they played with Mission of Burma.
“Grinding Halt” is a departure from the other Cure clips I filmed and have posted on my site, as the color process has been removed leaving only the Black and White image. This provides a different and interesting look of the band in its early stage.

Check out The Cure’s “Grinding Halt” here:

Also.. new in the Archive Portal:

Siouxsie & the Banshees performing “Hong Kong Garden” a year later in Germany 1981. Robert Smith played guitar with Siouxsie & the Banshees in 1979 before he went on to form The Cure.

Iron Liver’s “Santa’s Big Red Sack”

Daddy, when Santa be showing with his big red sack?

Way up North where the cold wind blows
There’s a little old man that you all know
He’s been busting his nuts the whole damn year
Snapping on tools and riding his deer

O’ Prancer O’ Blitzen oh what a great buck
It’s that time of year guess I got all the luck
And you Mrs. Claus are you ready at last?
My North Pole is ready. I’m pumped up with gas

Sweet Chorus:
Well it’s Christmas time it’s my time of year
Get ur sweet buns cooking let’s get into gear
Santa’s red sack is packed and he’s ready to role
Gonna love those women from their heads to their toes

Time to pack up the sled and make that big trip
No time to complain don’t ya give me no lip
They’re counting on me. It’s Christmas time
To deliver my load, if I don’t it’s a crime

Threw the cold North sky I fly in my sled
Don’t need no radar I’m using my head
To direct my nose to your sugar plum
I’ll tickle your fancy till the morning comes

Sweet Chorus:
Well it’s Christmas time it’s my time of year
Get ur sweet buns cooking let’s get into gear
Santa’s red sack is packed and he’s ready to role
Gonna love those women from their heads to their toes

Well I come down your chimney
Just once a year, with my big red sack, and belly full of beer
I’m gonna bring all the women lot’s of Christmas cheer
Loaded and ready St. Nicholas is here!

Well this is the story of old Saint Nick
With his big red sack and his candy stick
Flying back home with his beard so white
He’s been lickin that poon tang all Christmas night

Sweet Chorus:
Well it’s Christmas time it’s my time of year
Get ur sweet buns cooking let’s get into gear
Santa’s red sack is packed and he’s ready to role
Gonna love those women from their heads to their toes

Music Shit / Rare Live Clash Video "Clamp Down"

New Videos up for Dec. @ KINODV [This is NOT spam. Free to view all the time]

THE CLASH 1980 & HUMAN SEXUAL RESPONSE 1982

The Clash put on one of the greatest live shows I ever saw
at the Harvard Square Theatre February 16, 1979.

Brought back the memories when I found this power packed performance of “CLAMP DOWN’ recorded in London in 1980:

“CLAMP DOWN”

http://www.kinodv.net/movies/archive/clash_clamp.html

HUMAN SEXUAL RESPONSE simply put, was one of the better
bands to play in the Boston area in the early 1980’s. Best known
for their hit “Jackie Onassis.”  HSR had several songs that were equally
as good and they were a great band to watch live.

Here is a performance of “QUESTION OF TEMPERATURE” live from
The Streets club in Boston 1982:

Music Shit / Rare JAM 1977 & THRILLS 1979 live video posted@ Kinodv

New Videos up for Nov. @ KINODV

THE JAM 1977 & THRILLS 1979

The JAM at the forefront of 70’s punk had as much brashness and raw energy as the Sex Pistols and The Clash. This is rare look at the band in 1977 at a live BBC recording in London:

“In the City”

http://www.kinodv.net/movies/archive/jam_city.html

THRILLS made their mark on the Boston Rock scene in the late 70’s and early 80’s. They were fronted by a 5’ (marginally plus) dynamo named Barb Kitson.
Short on height, but big in presence both on and off the stage, Barb could
Knock em out with the best of them.

She passed away last week at the age of 51.
