Non-Music Shit / Long question about online job applications

Last holiday season I got hired at Borders and then became tricked into doing calendar sales outside of the store at a kiosk in the mall area. I was desperate for a job, and told them I was available for anything. I worked for about 3 months and then right before Thanksgiving I was given my Holiday schedule and found out that I had to work on Thanksgiving day, Black Friday and Christmas eve, at the calendar kiosk. I had moved 6 hrs away from SF so seeing my family and friends wasn't gonna happen. There was some talk about how they were going to lay off people after the holidays, when the only reason I would have stuck through to be alone on x-mas and such was is to be "promoted" to in-store Cashier or Seller. I quit, without notice, right before the holiday hit, probably leaving them freaking out how they were gonna find someone for those bitch ass shifts.
I'm back in SF now and went by Borders, asked an employee if they were still hiring for the season and if I had a shoe-in since I "worked" a different location, he was very enthusiastic about how I have a great chance and they still need a few more people. Came home right away and went on the website, asks you to put in your name and SSN, and then pick the open positions at the location. Each open position I choose says:

Is it possible that my SSN is kept on record as a DO NOT HIRE?
Anyone know a thing about this? Any ideas would help. Wondering if I should call the store and ask them or if I am barred from this place.

Right now I am wearing some weird drummer type pants that are flooded. Dunno what they are called. I found them at a thrift store a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure how I feel about them. What do ya'll think?
I am usually wearing skinny jeans. I've thought about maybe taking them in but I don't know if it'll be worth it.
