Music Shit / Re: Forced Exposure mag and post-FE mags
« on: September 09, 2014, 06:31:58 PM »
For anyone who's interested and didn't see this on the other thread new copies of FE are still available. Forced Exposure (forcedexposure.com) are still selling original copies of FE from Issue 7/8 through to 13, and also 17 and the last issue - #18. No 14, 15 or 16. 7/8 - 11 are $15 a shot. 12 - 18 are $6 each.

This came up before but I don't think was ever answered: has anyone ever successfully ordered these?  My impression was they've been out of stock for years.

I was at FE today and can verify that they do have all of these on hand, if anyone is still looking.

I'm a huge fan of everything this band has done but I thought that recent 12" on Ace Of Hearts was kind of a snoozer

Sold my copy of this (with copied sleeve) about 3 years ago for around 60 bucks, i've never seen one with an original sleeve.

They're all photocopies to begin with... some are color, some are B&W. The B&W one is rarer.

Too many stupid wars between definitions that differ between genres.  White label is a fun one to fight about.

I love the UK records with 'Made in France' on the labels, that's always a fun one. "BUT IT SAYS FRANCE!"

This is akin to stores that sell Dischord releases as imports.

Has anyone actually had records stolen by him, or is it all just these losers like the kbdrecords guy getting flim-flammed on trades? I met up with him last summer, traded some tasty platters, and everything was totally cool. He was really into the unknown "local" type stuff, I traded him a few Boston area dollar binners for some cool $20-30 singles.

$1200 doesn't seem crazy at all for an unreleased Miles Davis acetate

Got a cheap Damned (DOMED) bootleg at the WFMU fair, has Anarchy live at CBGB's.
I couldn't resist. I even got to make a new page for it on discogs. Fun.

That was from me. I bought that a few weeks earlier thinking it was some weirdo Dutch punk single.

That's a strange price. Maybe the seller mistook it for the reissue?
Priced from ended eBay auctions?

Probably the case since it was in a box full of other 80's HC lps priced at or above ebay prices ($40-50+ Bl'ast, Youth Of Today, etc LPs).

No Trend -"Too Many Humans"

weren't the master tapes lost or something?

a few that i've been thinking about:

YDI - Out For Blood discography comp
Stick Men with Ray Guns - Some People Deserve to Suffer
Bobby Soxx/Teenage Queers discography

TKO is doing a straight reissue of the YDI ep. After that there might be a vinyl version of the Parts Unknown cd.

Also I'm pretty sure someone is working on all of the Bobby Soxx related stuff... Last I heard from the guy mastering it, he was cleaning up the BS 7" and he found some unreleased songs on the reel.

the label contours are different and they look kinda shiny. if someone takes a halfway decent picture of the label on ebay, it should be pretty easy to tell

Good thing United recently got rid of the dies that made those really ugly raised center marks like the original versions
