so, this chick is telling you that the ladlord told her she has to stay for another month? stupid move.

all that is meant by that, is that she is obligated to PAY for another month. but she has to get the hell out of there now. i'd take it upon yourself to shift her stuff out of there, then change the locks ASAP. if she has already stolen from you and destroyed the apartment, its in everyones interest to change the locks. so bill your landlord for 'em after you put them in.

i really like 10"s, but usually i'm alone in that.

bosshoss taught me how to play raw power via mp3 instructional clips of himself playing it at half speed and tab sent through garagepunk.com private messaging.  i give him alot of credit for taking the time to do that for me.  also i was a member of the "secret society" over there which made available tons of lossless quality ultra rare rips for the most part of last year.  i even got in on the forum comps they used to do and he sent me free cd's from australia of a bunch of crazy 60s garage singles he ripped.  see, what the guy does is works for the australian govt salvaging the remains of one of australia's biggest studios that burned down so the shits all moldy and wet and charred and they give him crazy amounts of money to perserve what he can, so he buys the craziest turntable, power amp, cables, etc.  because its his job, and in his free time he collects and digitally transfers 60s garage.  it has to be heard to be believed.

i don't think thats his job. he bought that studio out and had it shipped to austrailia from rochester NY. he does graphic design or packaging of some sort.

i read something about the producer having rights to the albums and doing a reissue on CD sometime this year. maybe this is it? it was planned to be both albums on the same disc, but i guess that was changed.

skip james is worth more than checking out. i'd fuckin RUN to the record shop and buy the yazoo skip collection as fast as you can!

the holy trinity among the serious blues guys goes something like this: (no particular order)

SKIP JAMES
SON HOUSE
CHARLEY PATTON

depending on who you talk to, i guess. oddly enough guys like leadbelly, who is percieved as a folk legend in the more main stream world, is seen as immitator more so than innovator. i still love him.

some of my favorites include also:
robert wilkins
blind blake
blind willie johnson and mctell
clifford gibson
lonnie johnson
scrapper blackwell/leroy carr
henry thomas
and tons of others

that new blues comp "LAST KIND WORDS" (great fuckin song) that mike sniper reviewed in the latest TB really is a great, great starter for this stuff. it has an incredible range on styles yet somehow hovers above awe-inspiring territory the whole way. i've listened to it about 30 times since getting it. m-i-s-s-i-s-s-i-p-p-i  r-e-c-o-r-d-s
