he is a hard worker. total one man operation too, despite what his subtitles sometimes imply.

Upcoming Shows/Tours/Events / Re: So Cow (Ireland) - US shows May June help

i'll play tenor guitar and drums for SO COW new york dates.

i can also give you a walking tour of NYC during the daylight hours.

if he turns that iggy lust for life LP into a $100 record i'll eat my sealed gene clark LP for dinner next wednesday night.

this set of auctions will suck the air out of ebay. everyone will observe a strict moratorium on listing records for a month after these end.

i'm told that this refund or "economic stimulus package" is actually just an advance on our tax refund for next year.

if i understand it at all, it seems like the $600 check you get is written to you from your own income tax account and you'll just be paying that in next time.

Music Shit / Re: record pressing / samples?
« on: February 06, 2008, 04:34:30 PM »
The Nobunny LP is being held up at United right for copyright bullshit. The record does have samples, but it's a song that's sounds too much like another song that is holding it back. I really want this sucker out by March 23rd. We'll see. I'm pissed.

Back to your samples, if they aren't too obvious, you could say they were something else perhaps. Like if it's just some dude talking you could say it was your drunk uncle on xmas or something.

maybe its time to stop ripping off all those rogers and clark tunes dude.

i forgot about luigi's.  that place is fuckin sick.  i heard graziellas over there is good too, is that true?

Graziella's is a good place to go in the spring or summer because they've got rooftop seats and beer and wine.  The pizza's good but nothing too memorable.  What's Luigi's?  I lived by DeKalb but I don't remember that place?

And Keegan's right on with Totonno's in Coney Island.  That's a killer pie.  Totonno's and John's on Bleecker are my faves.  I still never tried Patsy's up in East Harlem though.

luigi's is the pizza window on st. james and dekalb. right across the street from apple art. no delivery. no seating.  closes at 10.

i'll take totonno's in coney island over grimaldis, but the antipasto at grims is nice too.

if you're going to grimaldi's get a take out pie and sit under the brooklyn bridge to eat it. no waiting for pizza-to-go there.

luigis on dekalb is an institution, or the school across the street is, rather. but the tomato slice there will turn you the fuck around. WORD.

i guess so actually! since donovan was essentially the brit dylan for a bit there. i always just thought donavan everytime i heard that song. maybe its the guitar line or something. great song, i think, whatever the influence they make it sound pretty fresh to these ears.
