Both of these records are essential, especially if you're a Hoosier.  In stock right now at Landlocked in Bloomington.

We're putting on a show for our 5th anniversary in biz, sort of a thank you to customers.

Monday, Feb. 21st (that's a week from tomorrow):

Paul Collins (the Beat, ex-Nerves, Alive Records)
with
The Half Rats
&
Charlie and the Skunks

at Bishop Bar in downtown Bloomington, IN

This show is FREE with a ticket. How do you get a ticket? Come by Landlocked Music and pick one (or two) up. Without a ticket, it's $5 at the door.

ALSO...your stamped ticket is good for $1 off any and every CD or LP purchased the following week at LL.

ALSO...Paul will be playing a stripped down in-store set at LL at 5 p.m. the day of the show. FREE.

If you can't make it out, you can listen to the show broadcast live on WFHB 91.3 fm, and streaming at wfhb.org.

Thanks for reading. Hope you can make it.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Re: Scion A/V Garage Series
« on: September 21, 2010, 06:35:44 PM »
They're sending these out to record stores too, so check your local shops. We've gotten all of them so far, to give away. Although we've gotten less and less of each one. Got like 20 of the first one, and only 4 of the Oblivians. I've doled them out to customers who I know like the bands instead of just putting them in the free bin.

I know Grimey's in Nashville gets them. Criminal in ATL. Shake It in Cincy. Probably lots of others. Just ask a good record shop to hold you one, you might be surprised.

Okay, slight revision to the lineup. The Yolks sadly had to cancel. But we've added 3 more bands:
Proto-Idiot (Andrew from the Hipshakes)
Flight (on Hozac / Kill Shaman / Sweet Rot Records )
Moscow Moscow Moscow (commie surf jamz)

All of them on the saturday installment of the fest, at the Bishop.
Still only $10 for everything, $8 for Friday only, $5 for Saturday only.

When is Thee Oh Sees set gonna start, roughly?
I can't make it for Wednesday, and I'm trying to figure out how early I gotta get on the road on Thursday to catch them.
Thanks.

Yeah, that would work for instance.

Just got some great Dow Jones buttons in the mail from our bros at Family Vineyard who are putting out the reissue--hopefully soon!

Free to anyone who comes in to the shop and uses the word "SNERT" in a sentence.

They're playing next Monday in Bloomington, IN if anyone's in the area. Going to be good, I can feel it.

Ah, so this is why I can't book any good bands for the shows I'm trying to set up in Bloomington Oct. 1&2. Figures. Great...

This LP is good. I just spun it in the shop. When are they touring our way?
(I sent a friend of mine headed to Chicago today into your store. Should be there in a few hours.)
Keep up the great work!

Hey, if anyone on here is near Bloomington, IN this Tuesday, July 27...
at the Bishop, 8 p.m., $4

Home Blitz
Moscow Moscow Moscow
Pillow Screamers

Modern rock and rolling singles being spun before/between/after?

Should be fun. I'd post the baddass flier I made here if I could figure out how to do it. Shouldn't there be some attach image function or something?
