The live material on the Crisis CD collection is also sick as fuck.

Is that the pre-Death in June band?

I thought it was ok, Fenriz really comes off as a funny loser-type. . .

I would like to see them add a Varg follow up since his release. . .

Favorite part was probably that weird underground flea market type place with Fenriz and you can hear some King Crimson in thee background. . .

Kruses is a great Sidekick Kato song, nearly everything Apocalypse Hoboken did was fantastic, Mushuganas ruled even thru their phases, Oblivian was a bunch o' weirdo's for sure. . .

All of the Mashers were / are super friendly people, also very weird. . . it was nearly impossible to ever leave one of their shows sober and not soaked in beer. . .  Classic!

There was this Elgin band called The Mashers that I used to see all the time during high school.  I think they're actually playing a reunion show soon, which is pretty weird.  People used to stand 10 feet away from the stage when they played, for fear of getting hurt.  Not that they were really very dangerous.  First time I saw them play, during a song the guitar player got in a legit fist/wrestling match with a former member of the band or something, ends up breaking his leg, then crawls back on stage and plays the rest of the set while lying down.

The Mashers killed for sure, didn't the bass player just get into a horrible car accident recently?  I thought he may even have been in a coma!  He was one wild bass player with that group for sure, every time I saw them (which was a lot) he would bleed. . .

Non-Music Shit / Re: height of Technics SL-1200 with open dust cover

If you're usin it, you can pull it out and leave it out with the cabinet doors open, and when you're not using it, you can slide it in and hide it away. Since it's so close to the shelf on top of it, there's no need for a dust cover, and then you have a lot more useful shelf space.

Do you think that such a shelf could support the weight (25 lbs) of an SL-1200?  Plus, isn't the whole idea for turntables to have them on a hyper-stable surface?  Just place it on the top of the counter. . .  it's a grand looking unit as well, so unless you are going for an old-old-fashioned look it is fine. . .

Love,
