Here's a question for you 90's comic book nerds:

Does anybody remember the (I think) Dan Clowes (maybe not?) story about the kid who gets some weird V.D. as a teenager, and it turns out to be some unkown disease that is going around his high school? It's sort of set up to mimmick 50's educational films, if I remember, very funny, over the top comic. I don't think it was a series, only one story. I know i've seen it in comic anthologies before.

Does anybody know what this is from? I don't know much about underground comics.

If anybody likes noir shit, but doesn't feel like reading, the old E.C. comic Crime and Suspense Stories was pretty good. Or any old Warren (Creepy, Vampirella) or other EC (Tales from The Crypt, etc) is worth checking out. You can usually find this shit in any comic book store, and nobody really buys them.

I own like 300 of these, no shit. The E.C. ones are all re-prints, of course. Worth looking into if yr a comic book nerd and haven't checked em out yet.

"Suburban Mutilation are good, but take them out of the time and place and it doesnt seem to be special. It is where and when that make what they did noteworthy."

There were a shitload of far superior punk/hardcore bands from that area/time period, Sub. Mutilation just happened to be one of the few that put out a full-length. The only thing noteworthy about that LP is how lame it is....although my old band did cover a song off it.

Salvia Divinorium. Act fast, it's in the process of being banned. When that happens, it will be only a short time till the plant is exstinct.

Yeah, act real fast. That ten minute trip you get for $30 a jar is a real bargain...

back in the mid 90s in manitowoc you couldnt go to a party without hearing the queers.  once a label rises to the level of dirtballs partying to their shittier releases in bumfuck nowhere, id say it qualifies as a rise.  the fall is even more obvious.

I would say them and then to an even greater extent Screeching Weasal. Those bands (behind Green Day/The Offspring) really managed to make a huge dent into mainstream stoner/skater buying tastes, to the point where I was still meeting young girls who had the entire recorded output of both bands lined up in C.D. cases as recently as 2002ish. Now it seems to be officially dying out, though....at least from what I've seen.

I have found at least four different free working passwords for all the Bangbros websites, so all I ever need is their updates.  I have so much of their porn and I must say the Assparades with more than one girl are amazing.

Hey, I know somebody already asked, but how could somebody get those passwords? I worship anything Bang Bros. does.

Riley Mason is hot as fuck, but I gotta give it up for Gianna as being the hottest girl on the B. Bros roster. Seriously, what other site out there gets girls THAT hot? And not plastic tits hot, but street hot. I'd like to see a Riley/Gianna girl-on-girl sometime in the future...

I don't care about the Plastic Letters one way or the other, I just remember seeing entire threads on here (and Goner) about how much they sucked, and was wondering why these other bands were on here and not them.

Four pages into it, and no Plastic Letters? C'mon, guys. I thought everybody on here hated them.

"How many you have dated a rich person? Not new money. I am talking old money. City fathers, that kind of shit. I have a couple times and no matter how cool and eglitarian the chick thinks she is, in your eyes you will always be a prole. Sooner or later you will feel like a kept man, a pet, even if you do go dutch all the time."

Hard to believe, but I have actually dated two girls who were in the multi-millionaire bracket with daddy's money. Both, obviously, with a thing for lost losers.

I have to agree with SSR, these are always bound for disaster. Once you get past the "I can't believe I'm fucking a hot, rich chick!"-phase, shit starts to go downhill. They are usually the laziest, most spoiled people on earth, and they will start to get on your nerves after awhile. I spent two years of my life involved with girls like that, and I def. had a Great Gatsby-like moment of clarity about what the upper-class are really about when I was done.

Both nice girls, though.

That's what they always say about serial killers. "He was a real nice guy."

Are you really a nice guy, or are you being a "nice guy" to try to get laid? Because some assholes do this, and sometimes it works. Even though they are in reality assholes.

Clarify....

"Me going to dinner with an ex and discovering that I have way more in common with her now than when we were actually together and kind of falling for her again?"

Oh man, I'm in the same situation. With a girlfriend of three years ago who I hang out with sometimes now. OUCH. That's all I have to say about that. OUCH!

Guitars are just big pieces of shit that look cool and make alot of noise. The most important part is keeping your legs spread. And knowing how to play an "A" chord.

I only use 65' Green Face Vonenburg all-tupe amps and any (pre-NBC!) Wiremann single coil I can find. If you're using anything else, you aren't Punk.
