I work for Canada Post.
Up here, there has been a shortage of people to work the extremely less-amounts of mail coming through our depot. Canada Post has been deleting positions as they become available, leaving us casuals (I've been in a casual position for 2.5 years) out of luck. There is a lot of a disgruntled employees, but I don't know anyone that would purposely wreck a package (I'm not saying it hasn't been done though, I just have never seen it...).
Oh, I don't know how it works in the States, but we have post offices in malls and stores, but the people that work there ARE NOT employed by Canada Post (no good wages, benefits, etc.). They have the Canada Post emblem and a name tag, but work for the company that the post office is in (usually a Shoppers Drug Mart). They seem to be a lot more angry and careless with their mail handling...
And yeah, there are some nice looking people that work for the Post Office....
