Never saw the band in their prime but saw 2 reunionshows a couple years back. And I always loved Denison's guitar tone. Clean, bluesy but also quite heavy. Especially live. Not only with TJL but also with Tomahawk, the project with John Stanier and Mike Patton. They were really great when I saw them on their first European tour (it got worse later on) and Denison definitely was the main man on stage.

Saw Perspex Flesh and Mob Rules last week. Despite some technical difficulties in the beginning, Mob Rules played a very convincing set. Good sound and big fan of the Ginnesque riffing of the guitarplayer.

Perspex Flesh played one of the best concerts I've seen this year. Only 20 minutes but very loud, very heavy and Liam is a great frontman. Saw them 2 years ago when they just had the demo out but I didn't expect the band to become so good!

NHFTK is still thee best lp out of nick_'s list. Annihilation Time II was and still is number 1. Hank Wood lp became a top tenner and a special mention for Invasion / Destino Final / UBI for being so consistently great throughout various line-ups and follow-ups.

- Love Triangle was enjoyable live and the LP is pretty cool but still lacks some quality to be truely great.

- Still not convinced by Good Throb and their LP. Not really feeling it!

- The Fat White Family were excellent live last week. Way better than expected! I don't expect much from this band in the future but happy to have seen them in this stage of their career.
