Any European distro's who will carry all 3?

CHRISTIAN MISTRESS - Agony & Opium LP - pretty righteous NWOBHM influenced modern metal with a chick singer who is actually pretty tough sounding. Priest/Maiden fans take notes.

Last year I heard the name & praise for the first time. They already released a demo and a 7" (both OOP I guess). Not much info to be found on the net. But here's their label's website:

BLOODROCK s/t LP

Debut LP of this 70ties Texan band. Not bad but no gem either. Mediocre 70ties rock at best.

YUSSUF JERUSALEM a heart full of sorrow LP

Great name and a great record. Dark & folky and I really dig his cover of Marianne Faithfull. Weird black metaltrack at the end but strange enough it suits the vibe of the album.

THE GOODNIGHT LOVING s/t LP

Slept on this band for too long which also made me miss their latest European tour. Very catchy and great songs in general. Fitting summerjams. Bought their latest record too and these albums will get a whole lot more spins in the near future. Definitely need the rest of their catalogue too.

CROCODILES neon jesus / neon autobahn 7"

A-side is a ripper, B-side a lesser instrumental. Just like their LP which I already enjoyed quite a bit. Most tracks are good but some fillers too. Nevertheless they were great live on the last Primavera Festival.

First material was and still is top notch (demo, 7" and the LP). First Subpop 7" and LP were a letdown but "King of jeans" was an outstanding return to form. Saw them once live but they weren't that good. Definitely expected more of them. I still hope they do another European tour in the near future. It's been too long since the first and last one.

Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / Re: I want your Fall records

^^I hear ya.  It's just more pleasant to buy or swap here.  Didn't realize you'd posted some of the same wants; for this, I apologize.  But come to think of it, the only one on both our lists is Levitate.

Would also like to grip whatever singles/EPs contain the Saving Grace-period songs "Vixen" and "Petty (Thief) Lout."  Do you happen to know what those are, robot?

Yea ebay isn't the funnest way to get this stuff. Especially considering Levitate usually goes for +/- 100 pounds.
The 'Couldn't Get Ahead' 12" has Petty (thief) Lout on it, and the 'Cruiser's Creek' 12" has Vixen on it.

What's the reason that "Levitate" goes for so much?
It's weird/funny to me because it's the only The Fall-album I own. (Btw: Won't sell or trade so don't ask.)

Wounded Lion LP

i don't really know.. it's not bad, but it also ain't good.. i get bored after a few songs. i have give it some tries because i really liked the carol cloud 7" but it's not my thing i think

Tyvek siltbreeze LP

great, but if the tracklist was this, it will be a record for history:

circular ruins
summer things
hey una
frustration rock
stand and fight
building burning 2
stop start
duck blinds
michael cane

but they were pretentious...

I agree with you on Wounded Lion. Thought "Pony People" on the SS single was great but nothing I've heard since has done anything for me. The LP is just kinda there.

I completely disagree about the Tyvek LP though. That thing is great as is. The little 30 second interludes of that one song that are interspersed throughout are just fine.

Don't agree about the Wounded Lion LP.  Probably my most listened to record this year.  So many great songs on the record and a really good balance of goofiness and grit.

I'm with davemartin on this one. Never heard the singles but the LP was a nice surprise. Already one of the better records of this year for me.

- GUN OUTFIT possession sound LP

Still like "Dim light" better. A lot more mellow than I expected. Allthough "Fantasy world" is the best song they've ever written.

- THE PONYS deathbed + 4 LP

Superb! One of my favourite records of 2010 so far. Matador Records Ponys > early Ponys.

- HAPPY BIRTHDAY s/t LP

Gets better with more listens but still nowhere as good as the King Tuff LP.

- V/A umea vraljazz giganter LP

I'm a sucker for this new melodic scandi-punk. All killer, no filler!

- TOTAL ABUSE mutt LP

First listen and it sounds good. Allthough I can't lose the impression that these youngsters are "trying too hard". Makes me enjoy it a little less.

- WOODEN SHJIPS s/t CD

This record was playing at my brother's place. Sounded awesome. A very good thing that this record is only 30 minutes long. The ideal length for this kind of music otherwise I would get bored too soon. Slept on this band for too long. Need their vinyl pronto!

Any Frenchies who could let me know where the good record shops are in Lille?
Visited the city once 2 years ago, found 2 stores but they were no big deal. So I'm trying my luck this way. Thanks!
