Exercise is a big one for me - I'd go fucking bananas if I didn't swim and work out. It's a nice high once you get going and it kind of gets you thinking about taking care of your body + it promotes brain health.

I still dream of that special who gives a fuck attitude that for me could only be attained by getting fucked up! But then again I guess you have to have that attitude when you turn into as big a moron as I do. Also, I hate to say it but for me live punk music just isn't as good without a SIX PACK.

I guess the problem is when the highs are so good how do you match them? A lot of good ideas on here - family, new interests, hobbies, exercise, definitely change of scenery regarding select acquaintances which can be kind of sad and tough to do.

For me with no big substance problems and just a binge drinking problem the issue is enjoying a couple beers and keeping it right there. I know it's small ball compared to what others are dealing with - best of luck to all who keep moving forward after realizing a change is in order.

^ So true - def got laid once or twice because of my mohawk. A good one is like the poor young mans Ferrari for punk ladies. On the flip i certainly was after the Beki Bondage looking girls. Ha Ha

Straight edge is a sausage festival but I respect it. Since I have a sausage.

^^ That's it I'm sure but what an adolescent over reaction to a few assholes.
The drug/drinking part I can still relate to since it's taken down so many I knew or know.

Very much looking forward to seeing Embrace Of The Serpent once it's released here.

Saw it on Easter Day and it was really good I thought. Casual mind fuck.

The Straight Edge
Yeah, I was 16 when I heard Out Of Step. Talk about baffling. At the time drinking and smoking wasn't something I was interested in but not fucking? I wasn't fucking either but not because I didn't want to........maybe if I hadn't had that MDC poster on the wall.

Yes, I still can't figure that one out. I was in high school and the partying was hectic so I could see taking a stand on shotgunning beers or taking acid and bong rips but the fucking? All I can figure is those lucky bastards were fucking the same way I was getting blasted and it was just a bore for them. They were just fucked out I guess.

Just saw Anomalisa last night. Strange flick about being lonely (I think). Not sure that I really got it but then again I'm the type of person that likes to make small talk with the cashier at 7-11.

For expensive stuff  to many countries in Europe it seems like it's the duties/customs fees that kills it. Shipping with tracking that PayPal will accept as proof of delivery is already expensive, then insurance + duties/custom fees = insane shipping quote. Then I get to go around and around about declaring full value/insurance and what's the deal 'cause they usually pay $10 shipping from the US. Fuck it. But if anyone has a solution let me know.

Non-Music Shit / Re: SMOKING WEED
« on: September 21, 2015, 05:34:04 PM »
Haven't smoked for 15 years after being a stoner in high school and after that. Paranoia just got worse and worse for me to where I'd get stoned and have a panic attack (imaginary heart attack), or couldn't figure out my normal posture, extreme self-consciousness, hearing shit, etc.
So I quit but I do miss it so maybe I'll try again sometime although everyone says the weed is so good now that it will probably fuck me up even worse!

Imagine getting home from a hard days butchering and then still having to shit out your cow eyeballs before you crack a beer.

Surreally bad! I wouldn't say hatewatch though because I'm really enjoying how it gets weirder by the episode. This last episode went kind of rated hard R James Bond and that dramatic soundtrack just kept going!
The one man coke party was wtf? with the rock music.

Last episode should be someone waking up from a bad dream and then pours a bowl of cereal then chews on it thoughtfully as the birds chirp.

Not that long ago most people wouldn't give a damn about their nephews. What's happening to this country/world?

Ha ha so true. Let alone some third hand acquaintances vacation or how the dinner party was for your girlfriends high school pal.
Look at me - there's nothing to look at!
