Non-Music Shit / Re: RIP Harold Ramis

And I'm probably in the minority on this one - but Groundhog Day is one of my favorite and most meaningful movies.

Who doesn't like Groundhog Day? Bill Murray + Harold Ramis = Perfection.

is possibly my favorite ramis flick. i heard he and bill murray hated each other so much by the making of this film they wouldnt even speak to one another. i cannot cite my source, who knows.

Awesome, I mean about you guys liking Groundhog day. I guess I'm just a minority in my own house - my girlfriend rolls her eyes over my loving this movie. Makes me wonder...

I guess I love serious and otherwise cinema and although Groundhog Day struck a chord with me I understand it kind of beats you over the head with what could be described as a thematic cliche. However, it never gets old for me when someone artfully illustrates how in the end maybe it is love and being a kind/good person that really matters. It's a great hope to think that people might agree with that someday! And just like in the movie not because someone tells you to or out of fear but because you decide for yourself. Bill Murray played it perfectly.

Sounding like a hippy so - does anyone have a copy of the Agent Orange - Your Mother Sucks Cocks 7" for sale or trade? Top want. Thanks

Oh man, what a bummer. I love the way he articulated the best kind of good natured humor. Stripes, along with Animal House and Caddyshack, were the greatest movies a 14 year old could see. It defined my and my pals sense of humor for years (and it's still funny to me dammit!).

How can there be someone else like Harold Ramis?

I've known a few heroin addicts but none super close and it seems to be a life long struggle even after the worst is over (I haven't known any who have died). Sorry for your loss.
This thread is about heroin but I'm trying to help good friends deal with family members on meth and it seems like it has a similar hold. Good and timely insight though so thanks for the thread and thanks for the insight accidentprone - good luck to you.

Nog Watt - Neighborhood Watch

Not sure if they're the best but that has to be one of the most radical all lady tracks. Last song on this clip:

What didn't was Beach Blvd. We listened to that all summer smoking joints at the creek and hanging out with girls that we were starting to see in a different light (7th grade summer 83). The punks looked kind of angry and not getting any ladies so it was still Van Halen and Def Leppard, etc.

Then a year later once the zits and pubes started to sprout and the drinking started and I'd say it was American Youth Report/Milo Goes to College + the Six Pack 7" that really started to make sense! Especially the Six Pack 7", the artwork on the front and the whole aesthetic.

What a bummer.
I thought the show should have stopped when he exploded Gus - end of Season 4 I guess. The question mark of what he may or may not have become at that point was an interesting finish.
I can appreciate the negativity and unpredictability but now we're left with a b rate heavy handed morality play. At least I think - maybe Walt will succeed somehow.

And they are LIMITED.

Someone sign me up. Really is there some way someone can sign me up? Just debit it or whatever. Thanks

I wish they could come over and give it half a listen and file it away for me to. Or conversely if they (Feedband delivery person) thinks it's really bad after all they could just take it away and credit me back half my money.

I don't even have to be home for this process. Thanks.

Good job coming around Daystar.

I like to think people are basically good so when I buy a record and the person is kind of disorganized I just pretend I'm buying the record from my Grandma. Somehow she stumbled on her grandson's hidden and forgotten motherlode of kbd punk oi hardcore rares and now she has to liquidate them because the covers are obscene and she's into Elton John ONLY.

So as she bumbles along and gets grumpy about the packing and the shipping and the forms and the computers I try to give her helpful pointers and hope she invites me in for lemonade and meatloaf.

Ha ha, no way! They could have a year long Black Flag opera show starring Greg, Henry, Celine Dion, and Green Day in Las Vegas and it still can't kill when the needle hits the grooves on 10 after 6 beers!

Or maybe they could be the house band for the new Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (Thank you Black Flag! then 5 minutes of smarmy timely topical comedy) and it still wouldn't kill it. (that's the worst thing I can think of for either Black Flag)

Music Shit / Re: Letters - Nobody Loves Me OG and Repro difference?

Here's the back of my repro if that helps (obviously different than the original). Seems like I got this 10 or more years ago.
The vinyl is a pretty decent counterfeit. If you need more pics let me know.

Interesting stuff! I'd like to chime in here and have a conversation about the veracity of the Sick Pleasure sleeve and whether any discoloration is a result of heat and/or the acidity of the particular type of paper used in the foldover.

The family tree insert is of concern as well in terms of accuracy. Although possibly not germaine I'd like to get your opinion (and maybe someone else's at Academy if you don't mind) on the bandmembers history and of course timelines.

If there is no insert I'd like to try and find out why if possible. Maybe we can track this copy back to it's original owner if we work on it together.

I'm not interested in the vinyl but only the sleeve. I'll call later on, thanks.
