Finally, Dan Melchior?s lost masterpiece is ready for release. After putting out two highly acclaimed albums for In the Red Records in 2001-2002, Dan wanted to branch out and explore new angles, but unfortunately, a fight with a new label left his follow-up to the well-received Bitterness, Spite, Rage and Scorn album on the shelf. Downloads from a leaked copy had fans begging for a vinyl version of the unreleased work, which sadly never came. Until now.

O? Clouds Unfold is the record that links the heavy garage sound of Dan?s In the Red records to the more experimental pop side Dan has been exploring for the last seven years. It is a double album rich with pop anthems, moody brooders, and angry rockers. The record highlights all of Dan?s influences and talents, delivering the full range of what this man has to offer. While the album delivers a multitude of styles, the signature is Melchior?s hook-laden songwriting. Folks may argue, given the wealth of material Dan has been putting out over the last several years, but lots of people think this is the best record he's ever done. It has been a long time coming, but now it?s here. Hook or Crook is proud to finally make this previously unreleased tour de force available in a beautiful gatefold two-record package.

Pre-orders for the new Human Eye LP "Fragments of the Universe Nurse" and a double LP reissue of the Mirrors "A Green Dream" are now available exclusively on the site:

There are editions of 200 of each that will be available on colored vinyl on a first come, first serve basis. These are not available for wholesale orders.

Both Haunted George LPs are also back in stock.

Very happy to announce these 3 new releases that will start shipping next week and will be available in stores and through Revolver November 19:

-Lamps "Tim Ford/Cowboy" 7" Two of their fiercest songs to date. A-side is an ode to bassist and cover model Tim Ford, B-side is a Drunks With Guns cover. You literally could not ask for more. 200 on brown vinyl, 300 on black.

-Haunted George and the Hex Dispensers "Forest Ray Colson's Pile O' Meat" 7" limited to 500. Haunted George covers the Hex Dispensers' "Forest Ray Colson" and The Hex Dispensers do Haunted George's "Pile O' Meat". Also includes the originals of both.

-The Better Beatles "Mercy Beat" The rare 1982 7" reissued for the first time ever with 8 additional never before heard songs from the original recording sessions. Includes liner notes and interview by Jay Hinman. The original 7" was a favorite of John Peel (he played it on his show many times and tracked down BB drummer Jay Rosen years later to request another copy after his was stolen) and Greg Shaw and has recently been featured on the CRUD CRUD and Detailed Twang blogs. Absolutely must be heard to be believed, but definitely for fans of esoteric early 80s minimal synth/wave, D.I.Y., Hyped to Death's Homework and Messthetics series.
