John Felice and Roy Orbison.

The 13th would be best for Lafayette anyways. Thursdays are good nights here.

The record format I hate most is the 33 rpm 7". Especially when it's not necessary. Also got no love for small hole 45's made by American labels.

Sonny and the Sunsets 7". This is awesome, and it came with a good little book.

Where can I get this record?

Music Shit / Re: WORST BANDS IN YOUR CITY

A few years ago, The Romance Novels opened for these guys:
  www.myspace.com/bizarromyspace

The myspace stuff doesn't even do their horribleness justice. They played to about 10 people, (we were pretty good at clearing out bars in Indy) and still did all their lame guitar choreography. Singer was one of them dudes, who puts his foot on the monitor and uses his non mic hand to pull some sort of energy from the crowd or something. They treated the Melody Inn like they were playing an arena show. I refuse to believe there's been a worse band in Chicago ever.

Hey. What are the previously unreleased demo tracks on that Nirvana record?
54
See you guys tonight in Lafayette!

Sell both your copies, make big $ before the next pressing drops.

Do you got any spares of the first Boys Club single? And if not you, anybody? I need one.
56
I can't believe you'd rather have $2 than JV's Two Scoops, but if the prospective buyer of the Juvenile single flakes out, lemme know.
57
I'll trade a First Base test press for 2 color copies. Certainly not in the mood to hunt for this record, so if anyone's interested in a trade please get in touch.

I wish bars in Lafayette weren't so easily intimidated by excise. It's very bothersome to constantly hear about under 21 musicians who can't play in this town, not because law forbids them to, but due to bar owners not knowing the statutes that allow for it.

Music Shit / Re: Warped 7"s

I'm not talking about a bulk quantity of records from United, although obviously that is a problem.

I'm talking about how a good number of recently released singles have shown up warped.

As for the packaging from United. I don't think that's the problem. Don't records require some level of thermal stress before they become warped? It's gotta be part of their production process if they're having trouble making a handful of test pressings flat.

Since summertime, I've noticed a healthy amount of warped records making their way into my hands. Seems they're all warped the exact same way. They're not excessively warped, just slightly bowed. Even the tests I've gotten from United are like this.

I know Bubbledumb has had their issues with warped records, but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem. Anybody know what the deal is over there at the plant? How are they managing to do this?
