this record is a ripper. tinny guitar, yelling vocals, snotty but not whiny. can't wait for more.

I think the best city job (non-desk) is a bartender at a restaurant. Why a restaurant? You have less customers at the bar, but you still get tipped out from the waiters. Your shift ends around 11pm instead of 4pm and the shift is usually 5-6 hours. You have time to do stuff before and after.

I had this job when I was in Chicago and it was pretty great. I had all day to myself, 3 days off a week and was making great money. The place I was at was 3/4-star, so I was getting $20 tips for opening $100 bottle of wine or sake, which isn't always the case. It's really only a good job if the food is expensive, than the tips also have to be expensive. You get a lot less shit from the manager/owner than the waiters and food runner's as a bartender. Not to mention you get zero shit from the customers.

Just be sure not to blow all the money you made in tips that day at the bar across the street.

best job i ever had was a similar situation. i bartended at a restaurant at halsted and grand and was bringing in $1000 or so  a week, mostly cash. servers made great $ too. funny you chose the term "blow" to describe what happened to most of the $ i made.

i can't believe there's never been more of an investigation into the von erich's. most of them committed suicide. the mcmahon faked death has to be one of the most tasteless storylines ever, i'm glad they had to end it, even if it was becaue of an actual tragedy. what the fuck would make someone kill their kid?

i haven't heard other recent bands trying different shit like they are. feel free to guide me to others.
9
i'm not feeling the pink floydish track that much, it's ok but not that exciting. i respect they're trying things other bands won't. the other track make me really glad i bought this, i listened to it a bunch of times last night. i can't wait for these guys to come through, i think they're miles ahead of other new bands.

when i was maybe 4 i know i loved "lovin, touchin, squeezin" by journey and "cold as ice" by foreigner. i think the first music i ever requested was a K-TEL record i still have called STARLITE-it had the motels-only the lonely; joe jackson-steppin out; and alan parson project-eye in the sky among others. some of the first tapes i got were the footloose soundtrack, survivor-eye of the tiger, and men at work-cargo.
11
i just paypal'd you. too late?
12
i try not to support any band who aren't norwegian nationalist heathens.
13
paypal's being retarded, i'm trying to get one of these before it's too late.
14
hopefully they'll have these on their upcoming tour. i'm spending too much $ on records lately.
