I found a couple of Gary Panter's Jimbo comics down at the local goodwill a few months back. They were in plastic covers and everything. Also picked up a couple old issues of Hate and a Tank Girl. Thought it was a pretty odd score from such a small rural town.

So, Issac Hayes left South Park because he's a brainwashed Scientologist, and now Comedy Central has pulled the episode from the air 'cuz of supposed threats from Tom Cruise. Who cares? I think the whole thing's pretty stupid, but Trey Parker and Matt Stone's statements to the press are fucking great. From Yahoo news:

"South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, meanwhile, have weighed in on the latest controversy--with fighting words.

"So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun!" the self-described "servants of the dark lord Xenu" said in a statement Thursday that does not mention Cruise. Even if they slowed or stopped the production of vinyl, that doesn't mean they can't melt down the vast amounts of thrift store shit records piled up around the world, and keep stamping good records for the next 2000 years.
