Not quite on the Thornton Sisters level, but this is my other fave version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72QD4-dzz0A

Great version indeed.

an exceptional 45 that gets tons of play around here.

the flip's hot too (and it takes some talent to turn Ooh poo pah doo in something truly hot)

A good number of records aren't in there. It's mighty impressive and sometimes surprising how many are, though. The scale of something like this is ridiculous.

it's impossible to feature them all but Flex! is definitely close enough at this point.

Got the book(s) last weekend. Fantastic job. This one is not in it though I'm not sure if it's from the early 80s or later in the decade: anyone knows? Only one good song on it, but a good power popper it is.

Music Shit / Re: What music do you listen to when you get jaded with punk?
« on: November 17, 2015, 06:51:19 AM »
Whenever I feel that I might be getting jaded with punk, I just reach for this:

This was one of the very first punk records I ever heard, fall '85, and I thought it was crap even then (didn't help that I heard Stooges, Discharge, Black Flag and Dead Kennedys at the same time). Fast forward 30 years, and after buying a small punk collection in June, I decide to keep this and 'Troops of Tomorrow'. Haven't even listened to it, but eh...completism.

bought it in '81, sold it in '87, bought the CD in '97 (cheap & used), gave it away circa 2005. never again I swear.

At last the story of Psycotic Pineapple!

Glad to read this as I did that one. I talked to all 6 members plus their producer.
