Also that guy who wrote that the Who were a horrible influence to have is so fucking wrong and so wrongly fucked I could go on for days about that one statement alone.

Well if you're influenced by "Tommy", "Who are you" or the last disc, I'm not sure it's a good thing. If it's by anything before "Tommy", it can't be bad indeed.

I bought about all the CD reissues of the Justice LPs & though I know most of this stuff suck big time, I still like them.

You don't like "Soul Rebels"?? Lee Perry seems to think it's the best thing he ever did. "Bob Marley" sucks. "The Wailers" are great. The original Jamaican version of "Catch a Fire" is still great. Before the UK hackjobs overdubbed bullshit on it.

I like some of his stuff, but I could'nt go through a whole CD/LP, all the ones I've listen to bored me despite a few good sides early on. I like stuff like "I am going home/I don?t need your love/Lonesome track/Long long winter/Simmer down/Who feels it" fine, but it's not great, just nice. He's just so overrated, there's so much better things in reggae.

I'm going to listen to the first Clash record at some point today, probably haven't in at least 8 years.

I kept that one but every time I try it again, every 5 years or so, though I think the songs are great, the performance is just kinda weak and Police & thieves is just bad (if I want white punks doing reggae I'd rather go for the Stranglers Nice & Sleazy).

i don't know whats so wrong with the first two LPs.

neil young (post buffalo springfield)? this is another interesting one. i think you're full of shit.

i think marley has probably been killed by the radio. for all i know he was great, but the radio tells me otherwise every single day. this guy in singularly responsible for me ignoring any and all jamaican associated music for my whole life. now i know better. i'll never own a marley record but i'm sure fucking glad i've got the heptones now.

1/ i dig their records up to sandanista in high school, now I know better

2/ you're a hippie

3/ heptones rules, but Marley, even when reggae was at its best (according to my taste I mean), between 68 & 72, most of his stuff then was lame.

most noise band
most lo fi recording punk bands
most hard core punk
most soul ballads (well it's not that I hate them, there's just too many of them and when I've heard one, I don't need one more for a while)

I just listened to Back to Front Vol 1 which has "Do You Love the Nazis" on it and was blown away by the mix. Is that the original mix or did Incognito just spice it the fuck up!?

don't they used the italian 45 for that comp? could be the result of a different mix or a better mastering job than the belgian issue used for the boot?

didn't I see an extensive Equals discussion somewheres around here recently?  Are they as good as that song suggests?
Better. Every song is an instant party.

Love them but not every song, 'Laurel & Hardy' is more like a party pooper...

I love the Saints version but the original is even better.

If someone needs to hear it go there...

Fucking Christ...do all Euro labels act this way.

It's worst when the bands come on tour over here as Euro labels boss are well known to torture them, then eat them, then torture them again... At least that's what I've heard.
