Music Shit / Sales

I think there's been a thread about this before, but regardless; somewhat related to the Spotify thread:
What are independent record sales like these days? I can't help but be interested, partially from a somewhat skewed sociologist angle, partly cuz I'm nosey, partly cuz.....pick one.
Anyway, how many records (worldwide) does a band, like, say, Fucked Up sell? Kurt Vile? (well davemartin??).
Black Lips? Kings of Leon? High on Fire? Ty Segall? The Horrors (UK)? Iceage? Of Montreal? Jeff the Brotherhood? Lightning Bolt? The Books? Zola Jesus? The Men?
Royal Headache? ? and The Mysterians?
We all know it ain't like the 80s, or even 90s, or even 2001.
When I say "records" I really mean "units;" as in: vinyl/CDs/legal downloads.
Yeah, I dunno, just curious. Would definitely be interested to hear user: robbiefields juxtaposing then vs. now, having such a vast and classic catalog.
