I'm sure it's been said before but God damn it man - this is some boner inducing vinyl porn you lay on us every week or so. But don't stop......

this guy is pulling this stuff from a radio station library right ?    like at some college ?  still always great selections.

i was listening to the stone roses in the car.  it was fucking tight.
at home was listening to the regs -  atlanta hard core comp,  townes van zandt, other shit i ordered from a catalog that has already been talked about.   some poison idea, JFA,  who just played austin but i didn't go.  but i got those on cassette from back in the day.

talking heads singer adamantly refuses to reform.   will hopefully never reform.

i love that dave grohl is ruining all of yr fav band memories.   ha ha.   maybe he'll join the talking heads ! !

maybe they could preempt the real life dave grohl and make the virtual reality hologram version of him and than he can join
Nirvana ! !

Must be time for a new Gauze lp.

It's been, what, 8 years or so? I think you're right.
They're the only band I can think of who have improved with each lp.
i put unwound in that category of 'having improved over every album'  and was fortunate enough to watch/hear them do it.

i enjoy soft shell crab eggs benedict for my brunch.   with a mimosa at the local ritzy hotel.    i went in last weekend, looking like a pimp, and the lady comped my coffee.

we had this same controversy in austin with the band River City Rapists.

it never really amounted to anything and after all the pills and points, they would have broke up anyway.   but fun while it lasted.
although it was disappointing when people you know start actually 'caring' about this type of shit.   i remember people who formerly liked them,  flip flopping, after the protests started. kinda helps you see someone's true colors through an absurd filter.

been listening to vexx on youtube.
and finally figured out why total control is so good.   this was one of those late adoptions for me obviously, never having really appreciated their stuff,  but . ..  .  one day it clicked,  and i've been driving people crazy with it.
BUT.
the major thing wrecking my sanity, and probably did the same to his, is this song by the beach boys called busy doing nothing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCXFLxCARRs
i've heard some inane songs before but this takes the cake.  he just details all the little things that occur to him starting with trying to figure out what to do with his day and his mind is scrambled,  he goes on to talk about his driveway and forgetting someones phone number.  its one of the most ridiculous things i've heard.  and it makes you think its a joke, but. . .  maybe likes he's trolling his fans, asking, ' will you accept even this drivel? '   i love it.   and its catchy.

i'm finally going to see kraftwek in september.    would be funny if there were some calculator malfunctions on stage and they started griping in german.   what if florian were exposed looking at porn instead of doing computer music. . . .

40 miles today in the texas heat.   was really nice sprinting and cruising.   extremely over heated once i got home.
but i had some very scenic views(on the gulf coast), and good jams on the head phones.  mostly metallica, lol.
i've got four bikes, and have been lucky to use the mountain, ten speed, single speed and bmx all this summer in different locales.   also i wear spandex when i'm on the road bike.   sincerely, fred.
