my ex wife has ALL of my rares/ pluss stacks.   what can you do ?   i didn't cheat on her, but i guess i was a piece of shit back than.  we're still friends. and i keep thinking she's gonna offer 'em up some day.  my current wife , oops, my second wife, and the real honey of all honies, is into techno and indie, so she doesn't get her hooks into anything expensive i buy these days.  which isnt much.

The new biography by Kim Gordon sounds pretty interesting. Seems like she accusing Moore for being unfaithful with a groupie ... but wasn't it the other way round? Anyhoo I live for sleaze.

?Thurston was not that easy going,? writes Gordon of their earliest months together. ?Amongst other things he had a temper which flared up whenever he put together an issue of his ?zine, Killer, and he would become incredibly stressed out. Once, when his stapler wasn?t working, he picked it up and threw it through the window, shattering the glass. It scared me.?

Death and the Penguin by Andrey Kurkov, really good popcorn thriller set in present day ukraine.

i have that and enjoyed it immensely.  read it twice.  might even go for a third.   that book sits next to another one on my shelf called, the following story by cees nooteboom.   has to be the most fucked up name ever.

i'm reading the waste land.  i have real versions of it,  and i mean REAL.  but this is the one for right now -

Non-Music Shit / ALAN VEGA - Welcome to Wyoming

http://invisible-exports.com/exhibitions/alan-vega-welcome-to-wyoming/

this will be of interest to those of you in new york.   or art collectors.  or both.   this is a great collection coming out next week.

in reference to his drawings :

Vega said: They all look different but theyre all basically me and facets of my personality. Ive always drawn old men, even when I was a young kid. I used to go out to the Bowery and draw these old guys. Always done while Im blitzed. Never touch them straight. I write like that, too. Some things come out of me that would never come out of me straight. Never. The sculptures I would never do any other way but straight. Thats dangerous shit, man.

invisible - exports is a very cool organization.   if you check their site they work with lots of cool folks.

its called 'revitalization' where i live.  post hurricane disaster zone.   not really displacing people, just adding starbucks and flagship grocers. maybe a trolley line.

i cant find any reason to be sad over burnside.  its just a skatepark. it can be built again.   does that place really offer some type of cultural validity to the area ?  commerce must have its way.

they are using the term terrorism for any kind of violence these days.   its just going to expand.   i remember fondly when you had to be wearing a ninja mask and hijacking planes in order to be considered a terrorist.  these days all you have to do is march 30 people down to the beach and chop their heads off and now you're a TERRORIST too.  woh.  so exclusive.

i just scored that Schnitzler.   good stuff. also cheap.  they should put him on the black market so i could be a little more validated when i say scored.

lee hazelwood , Light in the attic reissue.  this shit is so dope.  sat around reading the liners last night drinking wine.  than whiskey.    than i learned a few of the songs on guitar and memorized the lyrics.  so a type of lee hazelwood gestalt was achieved.

thelonius monk with art blakey.   dang dude.   my record player is pulling out all the rad high hat hits.  lots of nuance.  dig.

little dragon -  nabuma rubberband.   fucking basslines.   these dudes getting better.  got this for my special lady friend,  but i'm digging the production so much.

drexciya - harnessed the storm - reissue.   fuuuuuuuuuck yes.  my neighbors must have been hating me last night.   BASS.
