er 3000$ sounds loads to me.
i just got £500 uk because a song of a band i used to play in 10 years ago was used in a Australian wine advert, cant wait to see it.

$500 to use a bit of a song is already way more than $3000 for a huge SCION brand, literally on the FRONT of your LP..lol...  they didnt get shy about it at all, they put it front and center of your album art...  average 10 songs = $5k. .. already moving up in the world!      ..and probably for some cool mom+pop winery, not a an associate of Exon and BP....

i'm more surprised about how little these bands will take.  this is a much better deal for gucci and scion and vice, etc, etc...    i know how little the bands got.  about $3k for a full length.  stamp their logos on the flyers.  sometimes there was  SCION booth at the back of your show..lol....   

"yeah, but they just have strong industry backing"...lol..  whatever you want to call it man, lube it up good before you fuck them hard!!!

I was watching some stuff on youtube and this advert came up that I thought was for some cool looking documentary about DIY punk all over the world but then I watched to the end and it turned out it was an advert for VANS yeuch

Yep, Scion pays all the bills around here. They pick the bands too. So I guess when Lucky Lacquers has an issue with Scion ITR goes hand in hand.
