« on: February 11, 2009, 01:49:33 PM »My mane gripe with remakes is that they're always worse than the original. I mean, doesn't that go against the point of remaking a movie in the first place? Doesn't logic dictate that if you re-make a move the remake should be superior to the original? Otherwise why bother? But they can never get that part right.
remakes don't necessarily have to be better than the original, they just have to be different. I mean, I watch movies all the time where I think, "I would have wrote this part differently" or "I would have used more blood in that scene" and so on and so forth. The remakes are just supposed to be FUN. I doubt Rob Zombie would think his version is better than the original Halloween.
