hi peoples. i'm from the internet-based radio station/podcast known as Zradio. we do our best to help/support independent artists, play a lot of home-recorded self-released stuff. noise, garage, no-wave, punk, all sorts of crazy shit. various other genres with prefixes like post- and post-post- ..you get the idea. we're non-profit and do this all out of our house.

My freshman year of college, the assholes in the dorm room directly above me would blast "Send Me On My Way" by Rusted Root every single morning at about 8am for basically an entire semester. A very special blend of psychology and extreme violence eventually took care of that.

Another song i truly loathe is "American Pie," Don McLean.

The first real live music performance I ever witnessed was at a horrible festival for a mainstream modern rock radio station in upstate NY when Smashmouth were at the height of their popularity. 5 minutes into their set, some kid hit the fat shit vocalist in the head with a water bottle, and he stormed offstage, making it arguably the greatest performance by the worst band i've ever seen. it was rough being a teenager in upstate NY in the mid- to late-90s. I snuck into a fucking Phish concert once but only hung around long enough to score some weed and acid, I don't think I stuck around long enough to really "see" Phish, thank goodness..otherwise they'd be the worst band I've ever seen. It was a big deal for everyone in my town that Phish was there, though, and kids were talking about how the band got all 10,000-odd people at the show to do some sort of synchonized hippie dance to one of their songs. They're all probably still talking about it to this day. Jesus, what a vacuous cultural wasteland i grew up in...
