U2 are pretty inexcusable.  The only song I actually kinda have a soft spot for is "Where the Streets Have No Name," and only because of the way they set the delay on the guitar (so that when you strum it creates that weird layered chug) made it easy for me to figure out how to set a delay and play in a style that emulates that later Pink Floyd / Roxy Music style of guitar playing a lot of 80s bands ripped off.  So I'll give the Edge some level of credit for at least making it sorta easy for people with minimal talent to make some cool sounds on the guitar.   Other than that, they're a band I've always despised on the same level as Radiohead; faux sentimental jams built on some of the cheesiest gimmickery ever

Agreed on Narcos. Also the the main American dude was pretty shitty, I thought. Maybe its because I kept thinking he was Macaulay Culkin and so couldnt take him seriously.  Escobar actor was great.

Looking  forward to the griselda episodes.

The Escobar actor was my main problem with Narcos. Actor was Brazilian and spoke Spanish with a Brazilian accent. Probably not a big problem for non-spanish speakers but it was way too distracting and annoying for me. They got other actors from different latin american countries who didn't try to pull off a Colombian accent but the Escobar was definitely the worst.

Interesting, yeah, I never would have noticed that. He looked/acted great to me, someone who wouldn't be able to pick that out. I can certainly see why that would be irritating.

But I gotta say, not much different than having some dude from the UK attempt a bad Minnesotan accent as the lead actor in season 1 Fargo, or really every person in every Fargo ever. Or all the bad southern accents throughout the history of TV/movie making, or Americans attempting Irish accents or whatever.

My Columbian friend says that the show is pretty historically accurate.  not sure how he felt about the accents, though.

Got bored a few episodes in.  Will probably re-try over the holidays.  Kept wishing Ray Liotta was the DEA agent.

I'll eat crow on that one.  I was skeptical early on when they signed him to begin with, but that line seemed to be working pretty well out of the gates.  But nevertheless, it was a total no risk move, and if you look at the advanced stats, Semin's puck possession numbers were actually better than a lot of guys on the team.  He's just not a Therrien type of player. 

Will be interesting to see if anyone else in the NHL gives the guy a shot, or if he'll finish out the season in Newfoundland before riding out his sunset years in the KHL.

I like the way Andrighetto has been playing on that Galchenyuk / Eller line so far.  Would like to see McCarron (6'6" 20yr old prospect we got down in the AHL) there eventually, but they're taking their time with him
