Billy was high and he uploaded the wrong tracklist. Those songs were supposed to be on it but aren't. The band accidentally sold all their copies and it won't be repressed. I'll see if Bill will put the whole lot up for download, Jake doesn't have them.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / EXHAUSTION - Biker LP (Aarght)
« on: October 23, 2014, 04:10:07 AM »
Been ages since I posted about new Aarght stuff on here. Second Exhaustion LP was supposed to be shipping two weeks ago, probably ship next.

Easter Bilby has got it for the USA, limited copies of the first press (not deliberate, just stupid). We'll repress real soon. Here's the spiel:

EXHAUSTION - Biker LP/DL
Aarght Records AARGHT031
Release date: 31 October 2014

Biker unleashes seven slabs of free-form guitar and ecstatic No Wave atonality atop giant churning bass and thundering motorik drums, with the occasional slice of quotidian automatic poetry. The rhythm section of bassist Jensen Tjhung (Deaf Wish, Lower Plenty) and drummer Per Bystr?m (Ooga Boogas, Leather Towel) display a mantra-like devotion to repetition that goes beyond rock genre moves into zones of pure intensity, anchoring the band?s blown-out epics with pummelling lock grooves as vocalist/guitarist Duncan Blachford dispenses riotous improvised six-string sizzle in a style that synthesises classic post-Hendrix psych and the reverb/delay clouds of the Mizutani/Haino tradition with the amplified-plank-of-wood rawness of Bruce Russell. Recorded in gristly no-frills fidelity at the band?s own studio, Biker is a high-potency emission from the deepest reaches of the Melbourne underground.

Was cleaning out the computer room and my wife finds an LP bag with something inside of it. Opens it up and it's the poster for Glorius Barsteds. Put that shit on the wall like the goddamn spydahs.

I hope that they're touring the states in September and that they'll play "Supervixen" and "Quarter To Three" Holy shit a 4 piece version of "Quarter To Three".

Yeah talk of a possible, maybe US tour in Sept. No chance of Quarter To Three but a more than decent chance of Kill Bill. Four piece, huh what? Ross, Dean, Macka, that's it!

We've done another 500, hopefully they'll stay around a bit longer this time. The Exhaustion LP repress is reversed out, white text on black and on white vinyl, 250 copies again. Eternal Soundcheck (Matt Kennedy from Kitchen's Floor) in Brisbane have a handful of the first press left on their new online store if anyone's desperate - eternalsoundcheck.com

The Exhaustion record is killer. Total downer punk.

great stuff indeed. will some of these make it to europe? can't afford oversea-postage.. finally. meeh.

Copies from the second pressing of both records going to Cargo Germany, should be able to get it pretty easily at a decent price.

Any word on what the poster is? If it's one of those pics (CD cover?) enlarged that'd be worth getting and framing but if it's graffiti'd at all I'd rather just get the black vinyl anyway.

Both Exhaustion and Ooga Boogas LPs have sold out. No plans to repress Exhaustion at this point so grab one now. Oogas repress on the way. Sorta underestimated the demand on these. Eastlink TP approved.

Yeah we got things going again after a little break. Here's what's next:

OOGA BOOGAS - Ooga Boogas LP (AARGHT023)
Ten new songs. Slightly odd, deadpan. 500 black copies.

EXHAUSTION - Future Eaters LP (AARGHT024)
Slow and loose downer rock. Duncan (With Hats), Jensen (Deaf Wish, Lower Plenty), Per (Cloudberry Jam, Leather Towel). 250 black copies.

And coming soon after that is the EASTLINK Wild Dog / Blood Money 7" (AARGHT022). Al UV drums and sings while either three or four other guys play guitar. The two best songs taken from their cassette release of 2011. Really fucking good. Working on an LP now.

And after that will be a LEATHER TOWEL 7"EP with four songs, including Siding With Yoko. They're better than their name!

RIP Brendon. Really bummed I never got to meet up with you. I'll be re-reading your writing for years to come. One of the best.

"So there's that". Ugh.

"Absolutely amazing". I got stuck into the overuse of this one while my brother's girlfriend defended it's use. She hasn't spoken to me in a year and a half. Over the use of "absolutely amazing". It's probably for the best.
