I'd like to see some sort of reference to anyone in the band ever mentioning that it was a filler track. Is LA Blues just filler material then too?

Think it might be something regarding this in Please Kill Me. But I aint got acces to my books so I cant check it out. But I know I,ve read about this at one place or another. Cant tell if any band member commented on this delicate issue though. But does it really matter for what purposes they wrote it. If you like We Will Fall then fine. I,m sure I like a lot of stuff that was only intended as a joke or a total shit take.

I'm not too sure if it was in 'Please Kill Me' but I have ready the story that 'We Will Fall' was done for filler too. I keep thinking I read it in some John Cale story or maybe it was in "Grit, Noise and Revolution".

Shit, I've been listening to this album for over a month and was gonna post a review of it today. Then Pitchfork comes along and ruins it. Should I just go put the rec on eBay now or something?

The food turn this took made the last hour I spent reading this thread all worth it.

Ain't got hardly anything authentic here. 'Cept for a couple fancy and fresh "American Fare" places. At least the one Chinese place is run by actual Chinese people though.

RFA,

Brian Bad Deal is back in town and took out for my birthday this past Saturday. At the bar an old biker chick asked me to dance so I did. Her old biker chick friend ask him to dance and he passed. So I danced with two old biker chicks.

What's your take on old biker chicks?

I also remember drinking this on several occasions.  Don't remember if I actually liked it or just though the name was awesome.

Weird shit happened everytime I drank a Crazy Horse. Fences getting set on fire, waking up in the back of a truck of someone I didn't know etc.

The brand has been brought back out the last couple of years but now only in a 22 oz. can (around these parts at least) and it's only Crazy Horse in name.

The original Lienie's are okay but no necessarily cheap. Their stupid ass seasonal beers are junk. Like Sam Adams it's "good beer" for people who don't like really good beer.

Here's the story on what's up with the original Schlitz recipe
http://beeradvocate.com/news/1312036

I'll stick to my fine and pricey Michigan micro's like Founders and Dark Horse. American micro are whipping the ass of most of the imports. InBev's and SABMiller's massive takeover of a lot of the Euro companies has fucked up a lot of the foreign beer. Consolidation and cost cutting. Upping the rice content (a trick learned from mass produced US beers) and cutting on the malts and hops. They're trying to Americanize a lot of them and the quality has dropped.

Kevjones,
That is a good book.

Blatz was the number 2 selling beer in the country (next to Miller) until they changed their formula. That's when Bud made their move. Blatz changed back to their original formula a couple of years later but the damage was done.

Steve is right. Being a beer snob rules.

I can totally understand that. I dig both bands and just wanna see 'em. A lot of bands blow off Detroit it seems (and their reason's are understood) or play shows that I don't here about until after they happen so I'm trying to assist in making this one happen.

Have you contacted the Terrible Twos dudes. They could probably help. They play with almost everybody.

Made a couple of calls and sent a couple of messages concerning Michigan. Should know in a day or two what's up (unless something else has been done already).

I think they'd rather play in Detroit proper or Hamtramck or something.... lemme see..

I'm shooting for a Detroit/Hamtramck thing at the moment. That's what I'm waiting on. Anywhere else on this side of the state is a last ditch effort (then again...sometimes so is Detroit).
