Gonna try to make the Detroit show...that's all I know.

Let me look around.

Any news on the Detroit/Michigan happenings yet? Crystal Stilts have become some people's here (and I don't mean just me but actual people like community radio listeners and people that come out to the dance parties we do) favorite new band. I might be able to do something if there's no other bites in Michigan.

It's been a couple of years since that and people here are still talking about the night it rolled through here.

Just so ya know you are killing two birds if ya promo me these days. Not only the blog thing but I was also made the music director at our local college station. It used to rock in the 80's & 90's (I was pd/music director for a good chunk of it)..then went "smooth jazz" for almost 10 years. It's only been rock-n-roll again for about 6 months. I'm actually getting paid (though very little) this time around. Not only CD's but I'm burning vinyl to CD and making 2 or 3 comps a month of the best vinyl only releases...and I can MAKE the kids play some of the stuff (anyone who's ever visited here knows how sqaure some of "the kids" can be) or they'll get a less than positive evaluation and may not get their most desired slot come next schedule change.

Oh yeah...I bought the CD for the radio station (we don't get any promos-We're just digging ourselves out of a Michigan Public Radio syndicated hell...and yeah, I could've illegally stole it via internet but I'm given a budget) and I'm digging it.

I just want a copy of TFunc on vinyl. Black vinyl is easier to see when you're cueing it up (if ya dj and such). I don't give a fuck about the color. I just want good music on the proper format. I got property and those bank type things for investments.

Maybe Bob's name just doesn't appear on the Revolver faxes (or the last one I saw at least) so I'll be sure to get ahold of him.

I forgot about ZVA but they've always been easy to deal with. I'll check out those other CDN distro's too. Sold to Puke-n-Vomit before and just got an email from them today so that's all good.

Thanks for reminding me about Rocket Reducer. Haven't dealt with them before but will this go 'round.

UMed is gonna be just dealing in 7inches now? That's cool (kinda forgot 'bout them too).

Never used Fusetronsound before and Mod Lang passed on some of my prior releases so I never bothered to try again. Maybe it's time to try again.

In Europe I've got Crypt (tho I dunno if they'll be into the GNL record) and Yakisakana and Soundflat. Are there any others (Green Hell still at it) as well as Australia and Japan?

Yeah...I've been out of touch with that end of it for a bit.

I also got a handful of Black Time and Real Losers singles we put out kicking around too (A regional place I was dealing with has gotten out of the biz so the unsold stuff got returned to me). I am interested in doing some small trades but don't have use for multiple copies cuz I have a hard enough time getting my own stuff out in an expedient manner let alone trying to sell other label's records.

Anyways...any distro out there can get a hold (if I don't get a hold of you first) of me at smashintransistors (at) yahoo.com and we'll figure it out from there.

Music Shit / Distros -n- shit...

I thought there was a thread somewhere here concerning this but I couldn't find it.

It's been awhile since I last put out a record BUT I FINALLY HAVE GOTTEN MY SHIT BACK TOGETHER and have some releases coming out soon.

Other than Goner, Florida's Dying and Bistro Distro who are some places I should be checking with about carrying the records? And who is the person to talk to at Revolver. I used to deal with El Bobo but I see his name is now absent from contact people on the Revolver faxes.

Goodnight Loving test pressings finally fixed and sounding right so I should have the record very, very soon. Gotta figure what is the plan with the HBJO record (after all I DID sit on the tunes for quite a long time and others have shown interest in doing them), check with the Sunday Sinners to see if they're still down to doing what we have planned and I'm courting a couple of other things here and there as well.

I feel like Rip Van Winkle just getting up from that looong nap so thanks in advance for any directions to be pointed too.

RFA,

This whole Rick Flair drama. Lucas got bent when I mocked Flair a few weeks back Lucas, all being a total rocker, shot back "Dad, he's the Keith Richards of Wrestling." I didn't have a comeback. What's your take?

Well...I've watched that Dead Moon bio twice now. Watched the extras tonight.

"Sarah, Sarah" I'm thinking in Minniesoda Steve's direction.

Hmmm. All proceed go to Andrew Loomis?

The film is a story of love and devotion.

Dunno if someone has posted this before but it's a pretty good article on the late 70's/early 80's going ons in Michigan punk rock.
