Am I alone in thinking Social Distortion kinda blows? Definitely doesn't deserve the popularity that they get. I do enjoy a good handful of their songs but for the most part...they're pretty god damn boring. Mike Ness is also the biggest douche bag on the planet.

I fucking hate social distortion and mike ness. done deal.

Good shit indeed(but no Nathaniel Mayer)  A place in Boston has sealed reissues of the fortune lps for 13.99. They even have NS t-shirts!  I have a VG+ copy of Mind over Matter 45, if anyone wants to workout a trade

do you have any contact info for this place online?

This movie ruled. Everyone turned in a great performance, especially nicholson who was insane, and baldwin who was hilarious. this was one of the only times in recent memory where I was 110% satisfied after leaving the theater.

Man, I dont know why but those Sam Cooke live albums have never clicked with me. I know that they should and I tried and tried. Maybe I just hit them in the wrong mood. I gotta go back and try them again...

Live @ the Copa is DEFINITELY like that...really boring.  "Harlem Square Club" is way more rockin'.

Cosigned on that harlem square club lp being a killer. that along with this otis redding double lp are two of my top.

Alot of people around 18-22 just think emo is pretty much anything that isn't rap. I get called out all the time for wearing "emo shirts." Then again, crime and the adolescents are pretty emo.

If you're just guitar and drums you better be doing something mindblowing and this shit is not mindblowing by a long shot.  Oh well.

Like I said, I wasn't into their recordings. You gotta see them live to appreciate this band.

we played with them last night in charlottesville and let me say this: although their recordings never really stuck with me their live show was UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE. they blew everyone away. this is not a band to miss. really, holy shit.
