Has it been ages since I've posted in this thread? Yes. Anyhoo... I'm looking to book a flight to come see you jerks and I am trying to figure out the best dates. I'm looking at March 10 to the 16th or the 11th to the 17th. Is there anything booked that I should plan around? Pray tell. Otherwise, let's kick it.

oh yeah so confirmed dates: 11-17th. FYI

I second L'as du Falafel. Don't skip it. I still dream about it.

If you're a museum nerd I highly recommend the Musee Rodin, I guess you'd have to like Rodin too. Also Museum of Natural History, near the Jardin des plantes, is rad. It's small-ish but has a unique collection. I could keep recommending more, but I will stop at these two.

"Night Studio" By Musa Mayer, it's a biography of her father, Philip Guston. It's pretty good so far, I am learning a lot of rad things about him in his early painting career.

I'm more of a Fort Worth guy/fan. Go to Doc's (one of my all-time favorite record stores, whether it's DFW, SF, ATX, BK, LA, whatever), the Kimbell, El Asadero (order the green enchiladas or else!!), Salsa Limon (great, great, great tacos, tortas, and whatever else), and/or Benito's (huevos rancheros and migas are ace for breakfast, queso blanco is a must). Spiral Diner is nice if you are into veg food. Maybe go to In N Out Burger (locations in Frisco, FW, Dallas, Allen, and Arlington) if you're wanting a little California squeezed in yr trip. Otherwise, all of Ass Invader's recs are spot on.

Hey Skyler, I thought you might chime in - I have to agree that down-to-earth Fort Worth is superior to highfalutin' Dallas in every conceivable way.  What's new in the bustling city of Cleburne?

oooh, ha. My dad was saying there's some phrase like "dallas is where the east ends, and fort worth is where the west begins" yes? Are they so different?  Is it true fort worth has a cowboy on city payroll?
