i can "get" that you don't like pete, but who did it better.  honeymoon killers had one album better and one equal, black snakes- better, but then...maybe i'm forgetting someone but all i can come up with is the gimmicks, i like them and have all their stuff, but i think they were one step behind, chrome cranks

I have the Revelators' We Told You Not to Cross Us on CD and if it weren't for the song "Don't Look At Me When I'm Looking At You" I would've sold it a long time ago.  That song is a fucking monster, but the rest of it, while not really bad or anything, is pretty unremarkable.

earthshaker is a monster, it's about the pinball machine, that one's just of the top of my head, but i think it's an awesome album

here's a little blurb i found

Born in Michigan, Arthur Binard lived in Milan and learned Italian, studied English literature at Colgate University, moving to Japan in 1990. He has had many books of his own poetry in Japanese published, and, in 2001, achieved the unusual distinction of winning a leading prize for Japanese poetry, the Nakahara Chūya Prize. In addition, a number of his translations have been published, so he was in an excellent position to talk about ?Translating Poetry and Children?s Literature Both Ways.? The last stanza of one of the most difficult poems he has translated, ?Words,? seemed particularly relevant and summed up his theme: ?No matter how tame / they may seem, remember, / at any moment they can / turn on you.?

the toledo newspaper is called the blade, so...

he moved over there without knowing any japanese, learned by teaching english reading comic books, ended up going to university of tokyo for ancient japanese literature, he knew many other languages so it was fairly easy for him, he got jobs for many years doing translation for the tokyo film fest for example, because he knew italian, spanish, a couple indian dialects etc... started writing bydoing translations, but then won a huge japanese award for his own writing ( the first whitey to ever win)

last time i was over teengen/firestarter/supersnazz were very excited to meet him he had been on tv alot, this was four years ago, after winning the writing award
