Music Shit / Re: Naked Raygun

First album of theirs I heard was their last Raygun...Naked Raygun and played it sooo many times, really brings back memories of high school for me.  They never made a bad album - but there's always a few songs on each that are stand outs (wonder beer, soldiers requiem, I don't mind, home...). They had a career ending live album that was really good too.

I will agree with Max a page or two back about that CCR Headcleaner, though.  Shit's great.  Maybe the most accessible thing they've done, while still being explosive and whacked out.  Reminds me Gaffney's Sebadoh stuff and later Boredoms in equal measure, without really sounding like either.

Also, that new Rik & the Pigs 7" might be the single of the year.

Today I spent a good chunk of the day listening to CAN.  "Chain Reaction" offa 'Soon Over Babaluma' is a motherfucker.

Ccr headcleaner is a new group from the Long Legged Woman guys right?
Ive been re-listening to that LLW lp regularly this year- liked I when it came out but think I like it more now... Wish they would have done more stuff than the lp and 7"

Cheap copy of the 2XLP version of 'III' that I'm pretty sure is OOP now:

Anyone else buy one of these and get it? I'm still waiting.

I did - never got it... Emailed the paypal address asking when they shipped it and they said it was shipped but had no tracking info - they gave me a full refund without me asking and said that hopefully the record shows up anyways
Glad to have my money back but this was such a sweet deal

Q1: did anyone pick up 2016 RSD vinyl of Nikki Sudden "Treasure Island"? When I'm in classic / classicist 'rock' mood I still enjoy Nikki a lot and find those last proper albums ("Treasure Island," "Fred Beethoven," "Truth Doesn't Matter") pretty great within the bounds he's working... I was surprised too to check out the album with Phil Schoenfelt, "Golden Vanity" and hear places where they were pushing an almost Kraut-rock groove... Anyway, I'm always semi-wary of Munster vinyl, curious if there are any Termbo field reports.

Had no idea about this - I love that album.  I used to work in a computer lab and when Nikki was working on that album I started reading his daily posts to his website and he was so proud of that album and had a childlike excitement about every detail of it.  I remember that there were a few delays in the release date (probably to align with the swell maps cd reissues) but I bought it the day it came out and while it wasn't groundbreaking by any means, it was great to finally hear something that I had been reading about for a few years.  So sad that he passed away not too long after, I met him once at Bernie's bagels in columbus and he was such a sweet guy.  Treasure island is one of those albums that makes me smile every time I hear it.  "Stay Bruised"

Whats with this group Sleeping Beauties?
Saw a blurb for their ITR album on via Revolver that it's Hart from the hunches with eat skull backing...
Has anyone heard their stuff?  Good?

Where do you draw the line with Ian Svenonius records?

Across the middle of the record with a razor blade.

I really should listen to that Weird War record w/ NMH actually

I remember liking a song in there called 'burger and fries'
I might have to dig that one out too

ctrl+B will add a "label", it appears where you have you cursor selected on the tracks, but you can slide it where you want it to go

Lover Of The Bayou made me stop what I was doing and just go, "Whoa..."

One of my favorite Byrds songs - haven't heard this live version yet, only the one on that Untitled 2xLP
