 I whish there could be more like "in the good old days" when one of these were popping up every 2 days or so...

Also, Todd/HoZac really found a gem with that Rubs band/record. There are some damn fine wimpy, lovely ballads on that thing - not adjectives I toss around in a positive manner often. Specifically the title track.

agree 100%...the title track "impossible dream" is a pure soft pop wimpy ballad hit!

Could not make it past song #1 on either of the new LPs by Sheer Mag and Terry.

Almost the same for me about the SM LP. How horrible is that first song? Seriously what kind of sequencing is that?

Anyway that being said it does gets real better after that though...

Shoes - One in Versailles LP - better than everything that came after.

Listen man I like it too but denying Black Vinyl is on some revisionist history.

There was a time i thought Boomerang was the best - that is obviously wrong - but  seriously, everytime i play a Shoes record, i think it's their best...One of my favorite band...Have had a big "Silhouette" moment also at some point...

John Scoggins - Pressed For Time LP reissue: there would have been a time where a bunch of people in here would have been pretty stoked about this reissue...seems like no one care anymore but I DO. Much more needed and it was about time someone step up and worked on this. I know few people tried before but didn't work out...Awesome record/reissue.

Oister (Twilley & Seymour) archival 2x LP: Awesome record, so glad these songs are on wax now...beautiful

Gorilla* - Its all pop! 12": By far the best power pop band of modern times...classic well crafted pop hooks and melodies...

Seafaring Stangers Yacht rock Numero Comp 2xLP: have its moment...

i'm ambivalent between 16 Wires and Velocity...I like Velocity a lot actually but 16 wires is 16 wires..no brainer...

I dig No Fantasy quite a bunch too, even if  the production is kinda weird with the drums sounds and all.

I'd go further and say  the Water Closet split is pretty awesome also but that that was a grower, didn't do much at first for me...

It's probably a timing thing also since i haven't played Terminal Boredom since years while i do still play the four last effort - from 16 wires to the WC split - quite often...

The Brightliners CD singles are ok too IMO, much more in the vein of the WC split.
