You want to stay in Osaka if you're gonna do day trips to places like Nara, Kyoto, Kobe, etc.  More convenient and more fun at night once you get back from sightseeing.

Yes but staying overnight in a Ryokan in Kyoto is pretty cool! But i agree Osaka is way more fun at night!

Oh and people should pick up that Zips single if they haven't already now that it's back in stock. One of my fave things Sing Sing has done. The Locals single is also not to be slept on.

Agree, Zips single totally rule! Actually, i haven't been disappoint by any Sing Sing release so far, i manage to get everything they have put out to date and everything is fucking awesome...Rose are Red is probably my favorite so far...

Actually I'll probably use the chance to look at record and clothing shops without boring my girlfriend.

Pretty wise, my girlfriend like music but she was starting to get real bored seeing me stop at every record shop i founded!

I got a copy of ECSR "Rush To Relax" this week, i listened to it once and put it aside. I was expecting a lot since everybody mention it in their top 2010 list. I will need to listen to it again for sure but i wish they could stick to the short 2-3 minutes formula songs just like the first LP, 6-7 min songs just  isn't my cup of tea at all. It might grow on me after a couple spin, but really i just don't like those long boring songs.

Just sit back and listen to it properly, now that you know what to expect, and you'll appreciate those songs for what they are. It's worth putting a little more time in with ECSR.

I did three times this morning, i agree there is some killer tunes in here but songs like "Turning Out" could have been cut to a two minutes song and it would have been great, but there is a 4 minute drum-guitar break or call it what you want that just doesn't do much for me. On the opposite, "Walked Into The Corner" rocks!

If you somehow end up in Nagoya (try not to let it happen), record shop Answer is the only thing worth checking out.

Geez, everytime i heard about Nagoya, it doesn't sound too good....I once read somewhere: Nagoya - Japanese most boring city

After Tokyo depending on your time you should go to Kyoto and with your pass head for a day trip to Osaka from there (30 minutes by train) if there's any show. Show start very early in Japan so you can catch the last train back home after.

If you go to Osaka check out the Namba Rock Rider, good shows there, i've seen Pointed Sticks with the Dishrags there this summer, it was pretty hot. Check out Time Bomb Records also.

Make sure you go to a Onsen (i went to Kinosaki, pretty great but quite expensive if you stay overnight but you can do it on a day trip)

Make sure to try all kind of fucked up Kit Kat flavour also!
