Pisaro's most intriguing source material, which also leads to the most haunted of all the recordings, is a version of the rap duo UGK's song "One Day" by DJ Screw, the Houston pioneer of the Chopped and Screwed sound. Screw had already slowed and throwed the tune using his own time-warping technique, similarly exploring the forgotten, concealed ghost moments of the original, and Pisaro pays homage while simultaneously magnifying Screw's already magnified version.

"DJ Screw's a great inspiration for this work," Pisaro says. "He was doing the same sort of thing years ago, but his methods were much different. But there is a process by which he's attempting to resurrect that which has been given to him, I think. I'm a huge fan of his, so I had to involve him in some way."

The search function isn't nearly as bad as you people make it out to be.  Granted, you might be led astray by simply inputting "U2" but "U2 i still haven't found what i'm looking for" should at least put you in the right ballpark:  http://www.discogs.com/search?q=u2+i+still+haven't+found+what+i'm+looking+for&type=all

Yet some of you people were jumping up and down over that German Shepherds reish a few whatevers ago.  Has west coast garbage really aged that much better than east coast garbage?

Pffft, the mid-coast always takes it in the rear.
Inexpensive copy of the first Stickdog album still available:  http://www.discogs.com/buy/Vinyl/Stickdog-Stickdog/101928566?ev=bp_rel_det

Even that IDF record k mentioned a few days ago is more deserving of your attention...but not by much, haha

Sorry for the misunderstanding but I suppose I should also point out that I had no way of knowing that a record being released only in the US was being manufactured in the Czech Republic, but even if I did, I would have expected that cost to be reflected in the price of the record rather than shipping within the US.   A 29 dollar record with 5 dollars shipping wouldn't have sent up the "I did something wrong" red flag.  It probably would've sent up the "wow, a 29 dollar record" red flag but now that this has been covered, I have no more red flags to fly.   ;)

You might be thinking "The shipping of these import LPs is gonna break the bank" but thankfully, we have set up a system that enables you to purchase without concern.

Solid Mates will be released in the USA only as Cuntz begin their tour Thursday 12th September at Death By Audio in New York

that's $22.27 USD, plus $11.58 shipping for United States

Am I doing something wrong??

Trying to find a decent record to buy during the late 90s!

Junkpile Jimmy - Ruins 1 and IV : only got to listen to one side, but this is epic. All blues junk is gone. More metal.

Probably shouldn't have listened to the Jimmys back to back, upon first listen I was missing the variety of Alberhill and actually got a little bored waiting for something else to happen.  Second listen went in prepared for all metal all the time and was pleasantly surprised by some of the little things I'd missed.  Still on the fence but at least I'm looking forward to giving it another shot at some point.

"Message In A Bottle" except as played by True Sons Of Thunder who renamed it "death walks behind you"

Music Shit / Re: which is the best Easybeats album?

Absolute Anthology (2xLP) is always around and always cheap.  10 songs a side too, so it's jam-packed.

Yup, that's the one I have and it's awesome!
