Lunny - What I was saying is that I think it's funny that Mesa, an obvious headcase, still harbors ill-will towards Vizquel about his book and what he wrote.  Mesa just can't handle it and prolly should be suspended every time he hits Vizquel as it's obviously premeditated.

Made the mistake of listening to some Milwaukee sports radio Brewers talk.  Basically, it was an hour of why they should trade Carlos Lee and keep Geoff Jenkins.
One of the guys couldn't get it right that the pitcher on the Cubs name was Greg Maddux. He kept calling him "Greg Matuszak."
Also,  boobs calling in and saying they should trade Carlos for Matt Clement or try and get a number 1 starter from a contender near the deadline.  They truly boggled my mind!
Luckily, the game started soon enough.  They're youth showed with the 11-0 victory, followed by the 11-0 loss.  Exciting team, nonetheless.

Also, I think it's funny when Jose Mesa hits Vizquel.  Just think what would happen if they met in a dark alley.

Swisher is for real, haven't you read the Book?

Of course, but you don't see me picking up Youkilis anytime soon.

That was how I used to pitch, sidearm sinkers down down til they got frustrated

I watched a couple Mets v. Brewers games on the TV this weekend. Corey Bradford was pitching (ex-Athletic, I think) and was practically dragging his knuckles on the ground throwing sliders.  They were talking about how when sliders are thrown from that angle, the ball actually moves up in the zone.  Didn't know that the arm angle had that affect on a slider, but I guess it makes sense when you think about it.  Bradford made Weeks and Fielder look like fools.

Is Swisher for reals or is this just a hot start?  Also, is Loaiza worthless?

That play Vizquel made to get Ross out at 3rd on Sunday night was amazing!

Definitely deal Shelton. Do it now before Sloth cools off.

Vinnie-The Cubs sent out 3 starters that prolly wouldn't be playing on many other teams, and they took 2 outta 3 from the Bucs. They even made Jerome Williams look good!
They're young; too young this year. (especially the starters.)

Last year, I saw two Cubs v. Giants games at Wrigley on consecutive days.  The hatred put forth by spurned Cubs fans towards LaTroy Hawkins even surprised me.  He appeared in both games, looked thorougly rattled, and gave up a couple hits in the first appearance and a 2-run homer to Michael Barrett in the second one.  I've never seen fans so excited about an opponent's failure.  It was amazing!

The tigers have a good squad with some good young pitchers and Leyland at the helm.  If the WSox and Indians weren't so damn good, the tigers would get more press.  Wild Card sniffing next year.
Also note, THE TIGERS PLAYED THE ROYALS!

Cubs pitching is looking pretty bad, but Cincy's the new Coors.
Love Scott Eyre though. LOVE 'EM!

Brewers 3-0. Uh!

Yeah, I'm getting pretty damn excited about this season, even though the Cubs are starting the season with Prior and Wood on the DL.  Pierre will definitely help the team, but I'm skeptical on the kind of season Jacque Jones can put together.
The Brewers are a young, up-and-coming, exciting team; there's no doubt about that.  Ned Yost is a great manager and Mike Maddux has done wonders with that staff.  They're the HOT pick for the NL wildcard, just like last year the Twins were the HOT pick to win the series.  They're a fun team to watch and listen to, that's for damn sure.
I also just ordered the audio gameday thing on mlb.com, so I can listen to radio broadcasts on my computer.  I love listening to Santo and Pat Hughes on WGN and Uecker covering the Crew is great.
I love good, funny interaction between the color man and the play-by-play man.
How are the radio men in your neck of the woods?
Is Vin Scully still doing Dodgers games?

I've been in a league the past two years and we used Yahoo. Yeah, it's free and it works pretty good and you can design the league how you want it.  I don't know how specific you can get, but last year we had a simple 5x5 league and it worked pretty good.

I am a Cubs fan, not the bandwagon type though, at least in my opinion.  The bandwagon Cubs fans showed their true colors this fall, when they retired their Cubs hats for their fresh White Sox hats.  Good riddance, ya dipshits.
Lovable losers.  The Cubs haven't been to a WS since 1945. Shit, they've pretty much sucked for a majority of that time.  It's only been since bout '98 that they've actually fielded a respectable team for more than 1 year in a row.  That lovable loser shit pisses me off, I only WISH I could take the losses so lightly and throw them off with that phrase.  I guess it's more of an non-Cubs fans view of it all.
