There might be a few floatin' around Amoeba Berkeley/SF.
One of them works there...

I'll see what's left tomorrow.

Saw 6-8 copies in Berkeley on Sunday.

That negative feedback site was a fun waste of an hour.

I vote for the standard 5x5 roto rules (not head to head).  no holds, or doubles, or BS stats like that.

as far as the no trade action goes, I think doing standard 5x5 roto rules helps encourage trades.  with head to head, it's much harder to see what categories people are weak and strong in and make trade offers accordingly.

I agree 100% with what chris said. If you want trade action, 5x5 roto rules are the way to go.

Also, any thoughts on playing with/without playoffs?  I'm more pro-no playoffs, so that your whole season doesn't come down to how well you did in one week and you don't get fucked by players starting their rehab early or by having call-ups take away their ab's.  Any thoughts on the season ending after Labor day weekend to also avoid the above issues???

I don't have too many years of fantasy baseball under my belt, so I'd like to hear what others experiences have been.....

I've still yet to see a Hodag, although I haven't spent too much time in Rhinelander.

Also, I've still never seen a snipe.

I been to Colby and Abbotsford... Don't remember Cadott... where's that, geographically?

It's right to the east of Chippewa Falls. Cadott is the home of the Chippewa Valley Music Festivals!!!

That area between, say, Nekoosa and Black River Falls is some great territory... You can drive for miles and see not much of anyone... and that's a good thing...

From casino to casino????

Make sure to stop off in Colby. The home of the Colby cheese!!!!!!  Also, Hawkeye Dairy for ice cream in Abbotsford.

The truck stop off the Cadott exit used to have pretty good food, although it may be a Country Kitchen now.

Man, you're speaking my language tonight! My parents go down to the Cran Fest in Warrens every year. I think they have a fundraiser for the Shriner's at the Fest.  This year my dad is the Oriental Guide. In a few years, he will be the Potentate. I will be so proud.

I think Beane realizes that they have no shot against the Angels for the next 2-3 years, so why not reload now and be ready for 2010. It sucks that they felt like they had to do this, but without a salary cap, this shit will happen forever.  I think it's demoralizing to a lot of clubs when there's a big spender in their division. This year there are a bunch of teams trading off the talent cuz their division mates have stacked rosters (O's,A's, Twins(should be)).  These small market teams have to pick their moments, wait til all the stars are aligned perfectly to make the charge against the big bucks boys.

It's lame, but I don't know if they would every go to a salary cap; as small market teams seem to get to the WS and sometimes win, so this justifies the no salary cap plan.

Must suck to  be a Rays fan........
